How many more things can Victor do with a bass? The bass is such an extension of himself, he can de-tune and re-tune every string while making music out of it. I can not think of another word other than inspirational! (sorry to those that have already used it!)
With all the percussive stuff he's doing the tuner would not be able to accurately pick the note out. Plus, I have done this before just messing around and if I can do it Victor Wooten DEFINITELY can. And his stuff is still slightly out of tune at the end there.
Am I the only who thinks there's a slight possibility that he has a tuner along side his effects pedals on his floorboard that he could peak at to retune? .....I know victor Wooten is 1 of the best and this is possible but I don't think can be that gullible that quickly

That's the coolest thing ever. That is awesome in every way.

it´s great if you recognize how he began to smile at the same time you began to smile, cause the sound is so good!^^ haha that was powerful!
o my god...he actually came back..this is so crazy.
I was there and I didn't see a tuner .
youre fucking right you didnt
Good point!...i believe he did it on his own, just considering the possibilities :D
I believe it's mostly improvised, although the part that starts around 2:50 is called Reminiscence.
whoa, a butterfly.
its magic!
no this one is E-A-D-G
inspirational
he made love to his bass
Wow. I wonder what he uses for effects there?
that part where he tunes his strings down sounds like tribal drumming at one point.
WAT THE HECK!!!... dude did he just untune and tune tht god givin bass!!!??.... wooooooww!!!!
basically aliens took this guy, gave him a superior auditive system to his body, and well, just look.
how do is call this pedal effect?
isnt this song Reminiscence by béla fleck and the flecktones?
I think it's just the Boss RC-20XL using the reverse effect.
Look what happens when you ask him to play a waterfall!, look what you've done to him!! =)
Is he using standard 4string tuning when he's using this bass?
Is he pop and lockin at 6:10?
he start's to sound like Regi Wooten when he detunes it, wish I could do that tho
the best
i think thats mad at the end . youre just thinking wheres he gonna go now your on the edge of your seat then all of a sudden - you know ,
Rofl, i can do that too!
