As former owner of a 68 442 for 20 yrs ..that 68 is gorgeous....wish I had the 4sd....the 68 442 is a beautiful design and one of the best driving muscle cars I ever owned..I miss her..
Had the red 67 Cutlass Supreme. Same headlights in 68. AC , power brakes power steering drums all the way around now. My dad had the 72 cutlasses. Looked a lot like it. Both beautiful cars. The red one you show in this video is just a beautiful automobile.
You point at the alternator and say it has power steering, I don't see a power steering pump so really nice 442. I have had 3 442's starting in 1969 so I do appreciate the vid. Love to have another but dam, thirty grand these days for a good driver. At least I have good memories 😌

My wife wanted her birth year Corvette, so now we have a 1970 Corvette 454. I drive it 95% of the time, so I'm not complaining.
Back in 68, 442s were the primary squad cars of the Glen Ellyn, Illinois Police Department. They were red with hubcaps and gumball lights.

The fender stripe is too far forward.
Is there a guide that shows exactly where it goes?
I AGREE - the 442 side numbers were relocated if the side stripe was ordered - if you add the stripe later the side stripe ends up too far forward
