      Thank you, I didn't even notice. I watched the series only once, and immediately ran to make a video, so I haven't seen many details yet.
      They also changed Yue, I didn't understand why she was a fox spirit.

      Oh, there is even a bigger question in the adaptation -why did Sokka and Katara went to the tunnels in the first place? To get to the palace faster?! But they were already in the city -so the whole tunnel story was lame and then they conveniently placed the wandering musicians in the tunnels as well. Had I not known the original story this whole episode would have been pure garbage to me coz it does pretty much nothing to the story, but for those who care about the original if feels poorly crafted pathetic attempt to pay tribute to the beloved characters but it turned out too clumsy, rushed and even sad.

    Netflix could make this show perfectly and people will still find something to complain about. And that doesn’t just apply to this show, but many others. I hope they realize this and just stop.

      Yeah but the acting and dialogue seemed forced and not natural for some of the characters. Its far from perfect.

    They also made Zuko more angsty in that scene with Katara about the master, animated version is a cocky Zuko saying it as a matter of fact like, live action made it seem like he was upset she found a master

    • @augustus_tiberius.
      @augustus_tiberius. 3 месяца назад +1

      The animated Zuko I would also add had a dismissive tone towards Katara's new skills. I don't think Zuko's actor is a terrible choice, but the director definitely did not give him the same loftiness the animated Zuko had.

  • @FG56710

    It’s a great adaptation. It’s just different, like how other long lasting shows get different iterations of the story over time. It’s not perfect, but even with the flaws, it’s an incredibly enjoyable watch imo. It’s especially satisfying to see some of the bending aspects irl (and I loved watching the behind the scenes action takes) and seeing them flesh out some things that weren’t in the OG.

    • @ianstrom4365

      Following this logic any adaptation is great because it’s just "different".

    It wasn’t bad but it could’ve used just a few more episodes to tell the story more throughly but on the other hand shoutout to the person who did the casting they did a phenomenal job overall it’s a 6-8 outta 10 at best

    There were too many problems! Starting with the actors and then with the CGI, and of course the storyline. Good job with the video but don’t speak too fast - it becomes too difficult to understand you. 😊 Carry on! 👍

    You also forgot about how the Water tribe avatar (don't know his name) said that the avatars power is nothing compared to the moon spirit, even though the avatar is legit the god of spirits or the avatar is half of the god.

    wow... is this what goes as ''to ruin'' among the modern audience now ? lets see:
    1) katara has not became a master. she simply has a raw talent. even in the original, she was extremely talented bender even before she arrived to the north. and before she fight zuko, she got approximitely 2 weak training only. so minus the training, in the movie version her being able to hold her own against zuko(without defeating him) is quite fair
    2) does show runners really needed an explanation for that ? because it was one of the most unsubtle and shoehorned agenda pushings in any cartoon. people tolerated when the original did that because those were the times that cartoons werent bashed for such simple messages. but that shit wouldnt fly in todays media, let alone in a live action show.
    3) thats the whole point of being a remake. they dont have to follow the inuniverse rules of the previous lore to a tee. also even in the original, they demonstrated that there are ways for non spiritual casuals can be taken to the spirit world. thats literally what hei bei did
    4) okay... how is this a problem ? do you even know how or when they will inform aang or why they did not inform him now ? how do you know it dont or wont be any explanation ? because lets be honest, even in the original past avatars had a knack for being coy
    5) again, you are just saying what they made different without explaining how that made it worse.
    6) i do agree seeing him do some practices would've been nice. but its not a problem big enough to say they ruined the original story. because they didnt showed that in the original either. he just nonchalantly flexed on katara without any efford. his *learning process* of water bending has never became a prominent part in any story line of the entirety of book 1.
    7) live action bumi was an amalgam of the old fisherman and bumi from the cartoon. turning bumi from a chuckling jolly wise king into someone who got jaded, bitter and hardened by his friend's disappearance and 100 year long war was by no mean a bad decision. aang was troubled by all the people he disappointed from his past. bumi as a character is the perfect candidate to give him a chance to confront one of them.
    sounds to me you just wanted to play to the crowd. saying shits like ''he has to support and help'' is exactly how you do *not* critisize a remake
    8) 8:02 what ?! dude, in each version he freezes himself because he caught up to the storm and his avatar state kicked in to save his life.
    9) so, you think that change ruined the story because they gave her a personality that wasnt convenient for you ? it was not a training. it was merely a briefing. 8:57 yes thats how they all behaved. all past avatars in the original had the same stoic demeanor. thats why they add more personality into them here
    10) 9:40 no it did not. it was quantifyibly less. but the charm was still visibly there. they just had to be more picky because taking a joke from a cartoon and putting them into a live action do not always give the same conclusion. some jokes can work under an atmosphere that only 2d animations can give.

      Wow, that's a great response to my video. Thank you. I respect your opinion.
      To answer your question, yes, I think that these changes ruin the original idea of the authors, this is just my opinion, my feedback, about what I didn't like. I know that everyone has their own opinions on this.

      It was perfect coz it was the original story and we have nothing prior to it to compare it against. And I don’t think the Netflix version was terrible, it’s just there should have been at least 10 episodes if not 15 to properly develop the characters and the world but I guess the budget was limited as they were scared it was gonna flop.

      Yes, I agree coz even in the original episode 2 I think she was already capable to turn water into ice when she accidentally froze Sokka on Zuco’s ship while helping Ang to escape. This is when Sokka said his famous:" I am just a guy with a boomerang, I didn’t ask for this." So she was pretty gifted right from the get go.

      @nathanslijkhuis7159
      I know the lore. In the time of Aang, only he or a person with a high spiritual connection could enter the spirit world, and it was necessary to be in a sacred place. From each place one could enter after a harmonious convergence, when the Korra left the portals open. In the time of Avatar Aang, these portals were closed because Avatar Wan did it. So it was very difficult to enter the world of spirits.

    The Netflix version is bad. It is better then the movie but still bad. The acting is bad the changes are terrible and I wish they would just stop trying to make a live version of this show. The original show doesn't need a live action version of it and not every cartoon show will work as a live action version of it.
