I attended school at the Oneida Baptist Institute in the early 90’s. We’d get floods in the fall and spring and seeing these videos brings back memories.
I just moved to Manchester one month ago. My house is almost rock throwing distance from Fall Rock. My timing was perfect for our drive across country. Not one bit of bad weather hit us. We missed the ice storm and all the flooding. Luckily the place I now live is not low lying. My gorgeous old home got through it all with just a couple tiny puddles in the basement. So far I have not been anywhere where there was a lot of damage done.
I remember the flood it came a cloud burst it even flooded my holler I live on saddler road off highway 11 before you get the boonville owsley county line we also had a bad winter it all happened last year we had an ice storm in December 2020 and a cloud burst early this year when we were flooded

@@Overexposed1 oh by the way when we had the bad ice storm we went without electricity for two weeks tree's were falling every second all over everywhere by the way my Facebook is Cody hackers I used my mom's last name with an s at the end of it you can find me there ✌️
My mom and sisters were killed in a cloudburst flood back in 1992. The 24th of this month will be the anniversary and it’s always a rough time. It was brutal. There’s also the hand holding onto the church that people flipped out over. You should check it out or let me know if you’re interested. I have photos and the newspaper clippings.
First and foremost, I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine losing someone in such a manner. By all means, the focus of my channel is Eastern Kentucky, so if there is a story there - it's possible I could do something with it. If you have the time, you can shoot me an email at isaacabnerlaw@gmail.com
It happened in the same place. Manchester/ clay co. It would be neat to see what you could come up with! I was 8, about a month before I turned 9. I’ll gather everything up and send your way. If nothing else, so you can see what happened 🙂

Unfortunately folks are dealing with harsh flooding right now near Pikeville. Tough times.

@@amiegee2273 Thank you Amie! Looking forward to hearing from you. A little mini documentary could be informative and helpful historically.
Many prayers 🙏🙏 Last time I seen it flood- it wasn’t as bad as this time. And that was 20+ years ago.
Unbelievable. I'm from nearby Barbourville, and this was the most destructive flood that I have seen in my life.
I saw my house lol
