  • In this video, I review the EK knives EK201 by KaBar. This tactical folding knife is one that I have been wanting for a long time. EK knives was started as a knife company for soldiers in World War II that needed a better knife than the standard issue Navy MKII. My good friend Matt Martin of Vehement knives and Jim Stewart of Bark River Knives made the Behind the Blade podcast. In one episode they spoke of the history of EK knives and their story of the commando knives they made. Ever since then, I have wanted to get a EK knife of my own. The major issue with this is EK knives didn’t produce everyday carry pocket knives. They produced large 5 and 6 inch fighting tactical knives that would be impractical to own or carry….until now. The EK201 is a folding knife that pack in all the EK design, heritage, and history into a easy to carry everyday full sized tactical knife that is still large enough to be used in a tactical role if needed.

Love it except would prefer stone wash, or aluminum or titanium handles
