Careful, self defense law varies wildly depending on location. Here in Canada its illegal to buy or store anything with the intent of doing harm to another person, even in self defense, which is FUCKING BONKERS. But thats why its important if you have a baseball bat in the car to also have a ball and glove, it was never intended for self defense, but thankfully you had it.....

People, mainly ladies, please be careful with carrying a knife for “self defense”. You can carry one for all the other purposes she mentioned. I can almost guarantee that if you were to stab or slash your (unarmed)attacker you won’t immediately stop the threat. Now you are just standing a foot away from a pissed off bleeding attacker and now may overpower you, take your knife from you and use it on you. Carry either pepper spray or a firearm. 🤷

Best self defense technique - pay attention to what is happening around you & know when to "cross the street." You will never lose a fight that doesn't occur.
However, if it is a life or death situation (the only justifiable reason to engage in a fight) it is best to have a heavy caliber gun.

the best way to survive a fight is to not be in it
The only correct answer here. If someone pulls out a knife in a fight it's very likely both lose.
That's all great and well, and in a perfect world that makes perfect sense. Given the world is far from perfect, the fight just may come from out of nowhere, and when it does, you may not have any choice but to stand your ground and fight. Sure, why make yourself a target by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Unfortunately, it seems all bets are off anymore, and anyone is a target of opportunity as punks and thugs have become so brazenly empowered.
Reason 1: simple tool, no complex parts
Reason 2: simple training
Reason 3: it's better than a loved one. You can bring many home and the blades don't get jealous.
Bring many home huh? But you can't use them down there 😅

PSA if you do not train to use a knife for self defense you are more likely to have it used against you than you are to defend yourself with it
I'm looking for something to spread butter with.
If you are trained to use a knife for self-defense, you wasted good training money. Knives are extremely poor self-defense weapons. I would prefer a chair against a knife wielding attacker over a four inch knife all day. And twice on Sunday. Jumping in a phone booth with two whirling blades is not 'self-defense'. It's just foolishness.
@@tucobakunin8250 true story ,a kuboton or pepper spray is a way better option ,but just like any tool you may decide to use it will be your ability and willingness you use it that will decide the outcome ,ive nearly been stabbed to death 3 times ,all 3 were with sharpened toothbrushes ,any weapon is only as good your ability to use it ,a chair wont help if youve no idea how to use it to maintain space ,personally i prefer rocks ,i always carry 3 in my pocket and they are laying around every, distance is the key to not letting people hurt you ,i grew up hunting rabbits and pheasants with rocks though so ive got plenty of skill with them ,if someone gets past the rocks i always have a plan b c d e f though ,awareness and practice will get you out of more trouble than knife ever will
That's not true because the same would apply to your attacker but they have the additional step of needing to take your knife. PSA Joe Rogan is not a source for credible information
I carry a knife for the off chance I get an aggressive dog coming at me.
Please, folks, "self-defense knives" isn't a thing. Fancy ninja draw and everything. When Johnny Methead suddenly out of nowhere starts perforating your lungs with a rusty pocketknife, you want to create as much distance between you and Mr Homicidal as you possibly can. Not stay in the pocket and pull out your own little poker and begin a little tit-for-tat and see who leaks out first. This fantasy self-defense stuff is dangerously bad advice. You are not Col. Fairbairn or John Wick. None of us are.
Two people using knives to fight usually ends poorly for both. swordsmen for example aims at techniques for self preservation, unlike rookies just swinging wildly and sharing blows. It's seriously hard to do any self preservation techniques when their just daggers due to speed & range 😂
@DarkSatan95 Exactly. A knife is a short-range weapon. Get outside of its range, and it is harmless. Stay in the phone booth with two whirling blades, and you are coming out sliced up. Even if you 'win', there's still a good chance you die. That's just reality.

Just use a flamethrower and napalm, you can substitute the napalm with a gasoline-diesel-polystyrene mix.
So if you carry a pack of polystyrene, you can refuel at any gas station and use the air hose to repressurize either your napalm cylinder or your compressed air cylinder depending on how elaborate your flamethrower is. A dedicated air tank is heavier to carry but will last longer than if the fuel tank was pressurized.
Or you could customize it and use a battery powered fuel pump with just a fuel cylinder of a gasoline and diesel mix. It wont cover the target with a thick sticky fire liquid, but the diesel will still make it flow like a fire stream from the gun. Just gasoline alone will only make a fire flame and not produce a consistent stream.

Having a good blade in any kit is a must
Self Defense…you’re killing us with a whole lot more long before that blade comes out!!😍
You don't need to pull it out of sheath. For First Defense.
It's also important when using a blade for self defense two things. Any blade without a full or at least partial tang can sometimes snap. And a folding blade may fold in on you under pressure. You will not like this but your opponents will. Pocket knives were designed for utility and not combat. And no matter how good any knife may be, they should be used for their designed purposes if you expect consistent positive results. No one digs a ditch with a spoon unless there isn't a shovel handy nearby. Keep it up ❤ Cheers

Same as with gun - you have to be trained to use knife for "self-defense" otherwise it can be turn to "self-offence" in fast and painful way.
Yes and no. A firearm yes, there is more of a learning curve when it comes to aiming and firing, but the main thing is the willingness to use it to harm another individual. The stopping power at a distance you can maintain from your opponent is the most beneficial thing about them. Reach is King for any confrontation with a weapon.
A knife by comparison doesn't require that much training, stab, stab, stab, slash, slash, slash. Mostly it's the willingness to actually harm another individual. Contrary to popular "self-defense specialists", it's vastly easier to out run and scream for help against someone with a knife, than to get within reach, and try to take it. That goes for you using a knife as well, you're opponent is at a huge disadvantage just because you have a knife and they don't.
Yupp!
Generic blanket statement RUclips comment platitudes. Wowee. As with most things in life, it just depends lol.

Yeah I'm going to absolutely call bullshit on anyone's ability to reliably and consistently throw a folding knife as they're deploying it. You either have no clue how to throw knives properly or are locked squarely in the Dunning Kruger effect.
@@TheSolongsidekick bro, I never said I could do it every time! Hence trick shot. I said 'I can'. Not reliably and consistently. It's a very difficult throw. I have been throwing no flip for over 20 years though. I can reliably and consistently plant a knife on 2 inch targets at 5 feet with good penetration. I 'can' throw with rotation, but not effectively, just for fun. For the throw with deployment from closed I use a crkt m16-z with a thumb stud. And I'm throwing into cardboard. @@DavidSinanan okay I'll apologize for my tone, but I don't understand or why you do it if - unless I misunderstanding - it's kind of a roll of the dice if it's going to work is it something you show off in public? I'd be too nervous about messing it up and then mess it up every time. Are you pulling from your belt and basically underhand/sidearming it? I assume you're using a knife with a thumb stud or a spine flipper? I can see how if you're opening it from the spine with your pointer fingerb you could use that to stabilize a quick throw, but with a thumb stud that would just throw a bunch of force into it along a new plane. Also, are you carrying it in your pocket?
Agreed. Always carry a fixed blade everywhere you go.
Knifes are the universal tool !!
Agree 👍 Very quick moves you have Madame.
Rule no. one said that in USA u carry gun for self defense. I'm from Poland Cracow we need these type of knives 😊
In your case you never need a knife you just slay with your looks
I like how you know all that! You also look adventurous and that gets me thinking well into my past when I was always sharpening something that makes sense like the "Fix Blade"! Cool! Thx?
Companies throw made in the USA to increase their prices, made in the USA or not that piece of metal shouldn’t be 250 dollars, that’s insane
Not disagreeing, but she says in the caption it's 225 and it's listed on their website at 225. Why say it's 250?

Didn't you see the Paracord wrap.!?
@@LogisticallyMisrepresentedparacord wraps aren't all they're cracked up to be, trust me. Definitely wouldn't pay 225 for something I could make in my backyard for $50 or less.
@@conan12345678901taxes and shipping is almost 260 I don’t count the shipping but after taxes is 250
Great job My lady. Fixed blade it is.
. A knife feature which I’m always looking for; it’s very attractive.
Guaranteed one of the cops we’re thinking “we’re going to need a bigger squad car” 😂
And she called them pigs?? 😂
Yes!.. I’ve carried a fixed blade for years!
Great - that’s just what we need more of in South East London at the moment 🤦🏻♂️
Totally agree, I've always chosen a fixed when I was on a jod for SD
Melissa, eres genial con tu destreza y habilidades. Además tienes muy buen gusto al escoger tus armas. Saludos desde Cuba.
Light weight and very attractive!
Her and the knife
It’s an awesome knife, I would only trade mine for another one.
Knife for self defense: V-42.
Go glad I got to learn to use that knife.
