@nightcorechris3858 I'm not sure that they'll bring back the headphone jack. I'm perfectly happy with it personally. My father purchased the A71 recently and owns it too. I don't know why he chose that though. I personally went with the A34 because of the Mediathek chip. Nearly went for the A14 for the headphone jack since I have headphones here and don't want to keep digging up dongles adapters each time.
In South Africa phones are ridiculously expensive so most people here buy the A series since it's a quarter of the price of the S24 Ultra. I just upgraded from the A31 to the A35 a week ago and it's a big jump in technology. I really like it and is doing everything perfectly thus far. So I'm quite happy with the purchase. Also to explain how expensive phones are over here: I can purchase a round trip plane ticket from South Africa to New York, buy the S24 Ultra there and fly back for just 100 USD more than what the phone costs if I would've bought it here in South Africa.
Also from South Africa just got this phone after my S20 ultra screen gave up and gotta say it's pretty good and even better in some ways than my now 4 year old flag ship
I got the A55 and I would really love a side to side comparison, I could've saved myself some money but this being basically a rebranded A54, the A55 having an aluminum frame, and slightly better performance made me pay the extra buck. I wanna see what I would miss out on if anything at all if I bought this instead
got this phone and i have to admit it is very decent for the price , good battery life and can be even way better with power saving , very smooth and fast when opening apps , camera is 7/10 compared to an iphone 15 that cost 3 times as much but i have to admit this phone is enough
I think this phone has a few things going for it. Nice looking display Good cameras Water resistant Decent build quality. However, when you compare the price of this device to something like the pixel 7 and 7a at this current time and date, the only selling point is if you have to have the Samsung ecosystem, which is cumbersome and clunky because one UI is trying to force Samsung native apps down your throat when Google apps are already there. The performance of the pixel 7 and 7a and other phones that are GSM with better specs, such as nothing phone. It puts this device in a hard spot. We know the big 3 service providers control what phones most people buy. I always make unlocked purchases. I use visible wireless. So CDMA only.. kinda leaves me limited. I love my service and unlimited hotspot so much, I am willing to compromise without some of the international options that blow the A35 away. I am considering this device possibly. I am in no hurry as of yet. Still sporting a pixel 5. Seems mid-rangers launch early summer for some manufacturers. Let the competition commence.

Right now I have the 2022 edge plus and it's the best phone I've ever owned. I feel that Motorola you are getting more mid range specs and looks in some of there phones. Not all, but comparing the specs from the new Samsung a35 to my edge. Not even close. The edge has far better specs for the same price. I would recommend Motorola
@@rudfil I agree. For me I actually realized that my 2022 edge and the 2023 edge has a pretty dim display. So instead of upgrading to the 2023 edge, I got the 2024 stylus and I love it. I usually buy a new phone every six months but I really think I'll have this stylus for a year
4 Android upgrades means up to Android 18 which is good because we shouldn't have to upgrade to a new phone every 2-3 years. The S series gets 7 Android updates

When talking about Performance, it is The End User's Responsibility to gauge His Use vs Budget. Complaining about device performance without Googling is worse than a dog barking at the wrong tree. Another important matter, the new Exynos 1480 is a cut over and above the previous iterations. It is on par with the Dimensity 8050 minus the thermal throttling. The new Exynos 1480 should be mentioned in the same breath as the D8050 and SD8G1.
Performance is definitely a tough thing for me to talk about because - like you said - some people expect Extreme graphics settings on COD Mobile at a competitive level from a $300 phone, while other people don't do anything more than scroll through TikTok. I'm not always sure how to adequately convey or compare performance other than saying "judge it based on your usage..."

Get the s22+ instead. You could find it for around a similar price or slightly cheaper in the US considering the a35 has to be imported getting you into the $450 price range, you can get the s22+ for $330 and the s23 for under $450 if you look hard on ebay and my take is always getting the older flagship any day. These phones can still be considered flagship and that's what you call true value not soke rubbish mid range phone which is less powerful than 5 year old flagship s10 series.
@July9326 the s22+ has 2 more years of android updates and 3 more years of security update left since it's a 2 year old flagship, but let's be honest the 4 years of android update and 5 years of security update on a series phones aren't realistic considering they have worse hardware than a 4-5 year old flagship and now that the s24 series provides 7 os update it's looking like a much better future, imagine having the s24 2 years later be available for $499 with 5 years if os and 5 years security being industry leading for that price point as of now just go with the s22+, it will do heavy tasks without feeling sluggish while the galaxy a35 or a55 will feel sluggish a year from now.
@July9326 to be honest with you the reason why I said the s22+ and not the ultra is because alot might not like the boxy design otherwise I'd say spend the extra $100 and get the s22 ultra the difference is signficant, you get the larger 5000mAh battery, spen, better camera, only get the s22+ if you aren't a fan of boxy design otherwise the s22+ is a terrible value comparing to ultra if you look around on ebay you could find the s22 ultra for as low as $450-$470 which is only $100 more than the cost of the s22+ its gonna take a bit of searching it still averages around $500-$550 which is on the expensive side but a bit of searching will get you the lower price.

@@July9326 2 years of major updates and 3 years of security updates
@July9326 to be honest with you the reason why I said the s22+ and not the ultra is because alot might not like the boxy design otherwise I'd say spend the extra $100 and get the s22 ultra the difference is signficant, you get the larger 5000mAh battery, spen, better camera, only get the s22+ if you aren't a fan of boxy design otherwise the s22+ is a terrible value comparing to ultra if you look around on ebay you could find the s22 ultra for as low as $450-$470 which is only $100 more than the cost of the s22+ its gonna take a bit of searching it still averages around $500-$550 which is on the expensive side but a bit of searching will get you the lower price.
why is the bezel so thick
I like Ice Blue Color 😊
It is now 289.99 on Amazon
When we can buy a phone like the poco x6 pro that works in verizon or att network all of this brands will have to lower their prices.
