I actually like it a little better! Not everything has to sound like it was recorded in someone's basement in 1992. That's what Girly-Sound was. And it was amazing.. but she can't keep doing the same shit over and over. Can you imagine how mundane and boring that would be as an artist? To not try new and exciting things and to challenge yourself. Why not make a straight up pop record if you want to? She's such an incredibly underrated artist. I've seen her live a few times and she always blends all of her different eras so well into a cohesive set!
