Hello good evening. I am Ephraim Kalu called into preaching the word of God. I do not have a place to bring people together for service. I have been learning a lot from you and i am getting better. I must confess. I go preaching to people on the street, shops and homes. I have been through vision/ revelation gone to preach in remote hamlet .i want to Take my preaching and teaching online. Thank God for you. I have been doing videos of my preaching. But i do this with my phone. In it i find some of the areas i need to improve as i learn watching your training online. Badly for me, my phone video samples does not come out clear and the audio is also very poor. But thank you very much. I am believing the Lord and i am passionate to preach online. One thing i see in your training is that You come along as highly interested in helping your listeners understand the lessons. More. Your words come through better accented in a manner that an African like myself can hear you out clearly. We not used to speaking like rapping the words together. We speak like we pick the words. Ive been doing alright through it all. Its funny because ive been thinking about how i can bring positive messeages through a youtube channel and your advice about preaching live is a great idea. Since I’m using an iPad and the lens is super-obscure my eye naturally goes to what is a reflection...my image. So, in order to do like you instruct I am going to cut a hole in a post-it note, make the paper just big enough to be a fluorescent orange doughnut and put that on the camera lens!
Hey Lane. Thanks. Everything you said there is spot-on. What a help to have the things that I am trying to do ‘intuitively’ be affirmed. I have another source and everything you have said echos all of that. You have not addressed the hardware issue. I, for one, really want to have a line on the microphone you are using. Plus the specifics on capturing the video. Maybe come up with some options L-M-H costing equipment. What is an entry-level package for the small rural church with great internet speed but no equipment on hand? I’m literally using an iPad for the message for Sunday but at 32gb I had to dump nearly everything off of it in order to get the production on RUclips. Seriously. Give some techs advice. Otherwise we lose site of the Forest because of the trees! We will spend too much time on nuts and bolts and not enough to time on content. Of course I am really coming from the place where there is no one helping with tech. So maybe I’m the only one who watches your episodes who has this problem. Thanks Lane. Great stuff.

@@PreachingDonkey thank you! In the end I pinned word in a. Arrow window top centre of screen and used scroll wheel on mouse to do a slow scroll so my eyes were looking about 2cm below camera. Got good feedback from congregation that they felt I was making eye contact.
Great question! We do a live service (online) for preschool kids at 3:00pm on Sundays and one for Elementary kids at 3:30pm. Then we provide discussion material for parents to go over it with them.

Great question! I would position it as close to the camera as you can and try to remember to look at the camera lens as often as you can
