I adore cabbage. Mostly because of a dish my father used to make. Braised, in a pan such as yours, with butter, a small amount of onion, and it was cooked in white wine... it was devine and took the humble cabbage to true gourmet heights. ☘️💚☘️
I attempted to configure the cooking instructions in case anybody wanted them, here they are: Add 2 tablespoons of oil to a large skillet and 2 tablespoons of butter, heat until butter is melted. Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink. Add the salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder, cook and stir for a few minutes. Add the reserved 3 T. butter and stir until melted. Add the cabbage, cook and stir for a few minutes, leaving the cabbage crunchy. Add 3 T. vinegar, stirring until incorporated and then the sour cream. Stir to heat through. Enjoy. (Hopefully I didn't miss any steps!)
@@kevinleejacobs1364 So glad for this recipe - cabbage and ground meat has wonderful variations - I've been cooking 'Egg-Roll Stir Fry' which is cabbage, ground meat (venison) with carrots, ginger, sesame and tamari - will be trying this new one tonight!
This morning I watched this video. In the afternoon I bought a cabbage. Tonight I made this using hot Italian sausage I had on hand ~ DELICIOUS! I made a 1/2 recipe and it was dinner tonight and a lunch tomorrow. Your video was so clear , the instructions spot on...simple, easy and such wonderful flavor! Thank you so much Kevin!!
We my husband and I well enjoy your series. I’m glad I found you. You are so thorough , I get a kick when you leave something out and improvise getting it corrected. Your house has a lot of charm and character. I love to cook, bake, garden and decorate which you do so well. Our best to you.
Thank you Kevin. I love your recepies . They are simple but delicious . It's really nice listening to you because you are so down to earth and sincere.

Such a perfect meal for a stormy St Augustine night. Here are the adjustments that I needed to make and it was still a real delight. Unfortunately, Leonard did the shopping so I used 99% fat free ground turkey/ PURPLE cabbage/Greek yogurt/rice vinegar and seriously, Kevin - what a treat - this definitely goes into the rotation of perfect week-night meals. We'll send a photo to Mr Fox - the purple is really rather fun!!
Made this today with ground turkey. Sautéed onions instead of using powder. Added a tad of kale and carrot for color. Used Fago yogurt for the protein. A great tasting dish, quick to make with surprisingly few ingredients. I’ll be making it, again. Thank you!
Just scrolling around , and I ran across your video. I too ,am a 'cabbage lover' ! It doesn't matter to me how you cook it...or not . And I also love one pan meals - for many reasons... I haven't tried your recipe yet, but, I fully intend to !!! It looks and sounds GREAT. I'd say just by looking at it , it should rate "jaw dropper" ( ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) . Thank you SO much for sharing this recipe !
Delicious, filling meal! I used Ghee (instead of butter) & goat cheese since I can’t have dairy. My husband added a little sour cream to his serving & can’t quit raving about the taste! This will definitely go into meal prep rotation! ❤
I made your base & added 3 colors of bell peppers, broccoli, carrots & green beans....was wonderful, I subbed the sour cream w/plain Greek yogurt...Yum....I love this cold as leftovers, then the veggies aren't overcooked when nuked or on stove top....thanks Kevin!
As luck would have it, I have all the ingredients on hand. Dinner for tonight! The dish looks so good, and satisfying. Thanks for a simple, but nutritious meal idea.
Kevin, Your crunchy cabbage skillet looks so easy and delicious and nutritious. Thank you for sharing this how-to recipe and a keto friendly recipe. This looks like a keeper! Thank you for your comments about your reaction to the Covid vaccine booster. I commend you for your information and honesty. I have also had two jabs and a booster. Luckily, I did not have a reaction like you did except for a little soreness around the injection site but that went away in a few hours. I pray that this new year will be a kinder, more loving year towards one another and that we all do whatever we can to live a healthy life for ourselves and for each other. Happy New Year!
Kevin, this looks wonderful! Similar to your slaw and egg dish. Also, I have not used my bundle pan in forever......You have motivated me to make a bundle cake again. Thank you 😊 💓
This look really delicious and filling! Thank you for sharing the recipe and making us this video! Who needs Hello Fresh when we have your awesome, quick dishes to follow. I will give this a try for sure! Thank you, again! 😊💖🙏

Hello Kevin I enjoy your videos sooo much and I cooked dinner with your recipe food was sooo delicious and I can’t wait to try again thanks sooo much ❤
Sounds great. Definitely going to try this one. So quick and easy. My top tip for breaking up ground meat - use a sturdy kitchen whisk and pound the meat as it fries. Top down of course. It's really easy and breaks up the meat as much as you want.
What a glowing recommendation for cabbage.... stomach soother. I love cabbage, too, probably one of my favorites and this dish looks great with a nice green color to it. ... understand your vaccine situation. Had two shots and one booster and started having sporadic pains all over my head each time i had it and it lasted for months. At one point the side of my face went numb and thought I was having a stroke but ER said no? Still have a bit of numbness but most numb symptoms went away after about six weeks but still have dullness in some spots? Therefore, based on my experience, I'm glad I'm vaccinated but I fear another one and probably won't do it. But everyone should do it unless you recognize a really big problem possibly tied to it as I think I did.
It’s usually that the grocery has huge cabbages. Today I found a grapefruit sized one - just right for 1 person. I’ll try this with Qorn Meatless Grounds. Yum! Thanks, as always, for the accessible recipe and directions.
This looks so delicious Kevin 🥂🍾 so glad you are feeling better and got the booster may you stay safe and healthy!!! Here is to a happy healthy holiday season 🥂🍾👩🍳💕🙏

I’m going to try it substituting quinoa for ground beef. I can’t wait. We think you’re great and thank you for your gentle living advice. 👍
I got the Pfizer booster, and had similar reaction and also muscle aches for 3 days. Kevin, I love how you make foods to help your body to feel better. I have always done the same. As far as this dish goes, I would totally make this for myself on a regular basis. I'm not sure my SO would eat it, but we do enjoy fried cabbage and noodles, or cabbage rolls or cabbage and smoked turnkey sausage. So he might give it a try. Thank you for this body soothing fuel for the heart and soul!

Hi Kevin. I’ve been following you for a little less than 1 yr. A few months ago you made some decadent meal (not that there’s anything wrong with that). Mmm... I am guessing and hoping it's a tiny bit tangy along with being crunchy, creamy and savory! I'd make it- but using yogurt, as sour cream is not easily available. Now it's the season here for cabbage, in Bangladesh. Thank you for a lovely, easy, clean dish
