My parents got one of these for my baby brother in 2009, which in itself is such a fond memory for me. He soon after got a gaming PC and left behind his consoles, and since then I've taken custody of them. Used to take this nugget to school with me and play tekken during lunchtimes. Recently found it again and am in the process of reviving it. Wish me luck 😭
its a blast I had the psp and ps vita back in the day as well but recently picked up a Go and loving both the vita, go and portal! So many groups out there I'm sure you're in.
I buy one psp go very used he work but i dont have memory and when i connect to pc he not recognized and bump a messege that dont work on pc I cant do with him nothing I used him just as clock I cant hack and cant put nothing and store dead I cant do with him nothing i feel dumb
Literally loading my PSP Go with games right now - what perfect timing! Thanks for sharing! Also, I agree that the advantage of the PSP Go is its sleek design, along with its ability to play PSP and older Nintendo games so well. I’m going to use it as my primary device for the next while to get the most enjoyment out of it possible. Cheers!
I have a 3DS, Vita, Switch and a PSP Go and the Go has been getting far more use than the others. Some people think the the form factor is uncomfortable but I love it, even for longer play sessions. I love how pocketable it is too I take it with me everywhere I go.
Oh man, I love the PSP Go, it's so unique and slick in its design. I wish some Retro Handheld like manufacturer Retroid or Anbernic would create a new version with better specs, a second analogue stick, L2 & R2 and maybe Android with touch, but still compact. That new version would be so fantastic!
My preference is my retroid pocket 3+ for psp . Super compact great screen and long lasting battery. And it fits in my pocket as well as my psp go did .
I did the power armor shell (bought from AliExpress) and a brand new vita battery. For me, the bigger shell makes it more comfortable to hold but still keeps the form factor and pocketability. I am also getting 3d printed shoulder buttons that extend out more to fit with the extended backing. All in all I think the power armor/bigger battery mod is a no brainer. Not to mention like 6-8 hours of play time on max brightness and volume.
I adore the PSP Go, I still use it to this day. My least favourite thing about tthe PSP was the UMD drive, I would always remove it. Got a PSP Go, and it is the best PSP. It can emulate a bunch of systems too, as well as run all PSP games.
I loved mine got it when they came out, was cheaper than an ipod if i remember right used it on the bus. Only complaint was it was too thin it hurt your hands on long play sessions.
Never really looked into it or thought much about it. I put a bunch of effort into Pegasus and it's my favourite looking frontend so I don't feel the need to switch.
Im thinking between getting a Go or a vita 1000, i just want a small device i could chuck into a bag and listen to some music and such, while yes the vita is cool and i like it but the Go seems better for my preferences.
I love the go, the buttons and dpad hold it back, one day I want to swap and mod it all out, I don't really have those skills, I could probably manage it. I had a Slim model too and loved it but it got stolen, I do plan to get another at some point, I kind of like the slim model more, but the go has many things going for it.
I've been on the fence for YEARS about buying this thing. I love looking at it, but I don't think I'd be able to enjoy playing anything on that freakin' tiny screen!
With the rise of retro gaming and x86 gaming handhelds, xperia play and Psp remakes go needs a comeback. Xperia play was a breath of breath air over the sea of repetitive form factor of smartphones We don't need that crappy, limited and overpriced ps portal. AYN already beat sony with a beefed up Vita on odin 2 mini. Come on Sony. Do something, man.
I literally found my psp go just ordered a new charger adapter cuz i can’t find the original. Can you redownload any game if you bought it a long time ago. For example I bought xenogears ps classics for ps 1 in like 2008. Can I redownload it? Or is the option totally gone please respond!?
I think you'd need to check some reddit threads about that or something as I'm not 100% sure, but you can literally find out soon once your charger comes lol. But honestly custom firmware here is the way to go with that SD card mod, so much more storage.
@@jazzfear 29, probably older than you, got my first psp back in 2006, im just saying the charging port is not usbc nor micro usb, its using its own just like psv 1000 model, thats the reason why i prefer 2000 model ovrer the 1000 model

How’d it go? I got mine running insane amounts of games I never thought it could play just now trying to put umds on it somehow
@Dr.wasabi the battery dies pretty quickly but it works! I still need to load some new games to it though

@gagagamovies8599 the device should accept external memory disk perhaps try see if it helps? also maybe a hard reset might help

Honestly would recommend one of these if you're interested in playing a bunch of GBA games, that's one of my favourite things about modding this.
what theme is that in the video?

So ahead of its time and aged like wine. I hope Sony makes a PSP 2 😂
PS VITA?
Where have you been since 2011? That's what the ps vita was, you doughnut.
Not a good one@@RPIXELN
I agree, I have tried a number of the Ambernic, Miyoo and Pow kitty and the PSP still holds up almost better
I would love to see Sony release a version of the Xperia Play with modern Android hardware.

Just got the power armor too, where are you getting those triggers?

My thing is that we need another attractive modern spin on a slide out design. It could look so sleek.

These were ahead of their time. They needed to be out right now. I think they should’ve waited to release these.
I wish had the psp go
Which gba emu did you use? I been window shopping for it and all I could find are ones that's last been updated back in 2019 =/

PSP Go vs Miyoo Mini Plus. What do you recommend?
Bought miyoo mini plus, sometimes doesnt charge well. Next time it didnt save up my couple of hours gaming, annoying shit device is not reliable.

do you have a link to that stick on d-pad by any chance?
can you make a guide to configure category lite plugins, i'm on 6.61 ark-4 and its always reboot my psp everytime i open game while the plugin is on

The Switch's Cartridge slot is so small, the Switch Go wouldn't be much smaller than the Switch Lite.

I just found my psp go after cleaning out an old drawer and don’t know what to do with it.
Sell it
Where did you get your stick on dpad?
Switch go would trigger Nintendo fans, we love are physical cartridges
If something’s is only digital I’m pirating lol
Switch go would have a cartridge reader since that doesn't occupy much space, unlike the umd drive
Someone should make a phone case that works like the psp go with retractable "controller"
Someone did

can someone help me
i have psp go with 6.60 pro c2 cfw, i want to update it to 6.60 pro c fix 3. what should i do?
great form factor but that screen doesn't look so great
The screen is not great and the device is way too thin in your hand
Charging port is not usb c, thats a deal breaker
This released in 2009 USB-C wasn't even close to existing yet lmao
I had a stroke reading this comment💀
how old are you again?
it's only a deal breaker if it's micro usb in my opinion
