He was referring to:
1. Hafthor Bjornsson (The Mountain)
2. Brian Shaw
3. Eddie Hall
💯
Yup. And Henry was right. He wasn't gonna beat them. No chance
Mitch the moose and those 2 Autistic brothers from England or Ireland are much better representations of the current scene. All of those cats you named are older. But maybe that makes sense for the time line of his story
@@jacktheleper4468 Brian and Hafthor are still up there. But yes Mark was talking about several years ago
You mean the 2 Scottish brothers? One of them won the world's strongest man recently I think right @@jacktheleper4468
Mark is one of the best recruiters for WWE
No he's responsible for Samantha Irvine she's ruined wrestling for me.
@zachgrace7675 what how has she ruined wrestling for you 😭😭 she made it better for me
@@m2nlik3z33 All she does is screams down the mic take the attention for herself. A good announcer should be in the background not taking the limelight.
If she wasn't pretty loads more would agree.
@@zachgrace7675 hate to disagree with you brother but I guess it's just subjective but to say one person especially an announcer That's only on once a week unless there's a pay-per-view is ruining your experience can you explain or you just talking to talk

That "hell yeah, where you at?." Mark is just a bro.
He a hood brother
Mark Henry is a good Brody
🔥🔥🔥
gotta respect braun for still trying. wasn’t gonna quit till he knew he had to
But also knew when to pull the plug on it. Didn't waste his prime years on a losing effort.
Yup
@@Khashmonet Prime in strogman or strength sports takes way more years down the line since most of them are 30+. 2 years of competing might not be enough to break world records or win competitions.
@@lordenvincar yea but if.you saw who was competing at the time (eddie hall, and a guy nicknamed the mountain some of the most impressive guys during those years) Braun wasn't going to magically pass them
@@shadow_tdI’m not well informed about strongman. So I’m not sure if I’m wrong or not. But did hafthor get that nickname before or after he played the mountain in game of thrones?
I didn't know Mark was such a talent hunter and recruiter.
Bruh WWE should hire him as full time talent scout. Dude has found multiple big names just on his free time.

Respect to Braun for giving it a shot. Worst thing is to look back and think "what if?".

This was my mindset when i turned 30 and got a IT certification and moved from a factory Job to a IT job, i didn't wanna live with the What if of not making the leap, best decision i've ever made

Credit to Braun for trying and being humble enough to ask for help. Credit to Mark for helping.
Mark is still happier than shit he got that call from Braun because he knew. Dude has an eye for talent and knows where to look.
I love Mark Henry, he's a class act. He's always been the guy who performed, was unselfish, and also helped others. He's a real credit to his profession.
Yes indeedy
Shout out to Braun for not only at least giving it all he got, but most importantly, taking advice from his elders without taking offense or being disrespectful. Alot of young guys you try to give them some game and they're so focused on their vision that they miss it or run away from it. Braun at least kept it in his back pocket until he needed it.
Absolutely!
Facts
Try and see, he tried and he saw
So we have mark henry to thank for Braun strowman
Mark really needs to apologize to us for getting that big lug into the business.
@@SkylerDouglasI don’t get the Strauman hate. He’s solid, safe and can do a job in the ring, he’s just given sh*t to work with nowadays.
No hate to stroman, but he’s big and more boring than big show. He’s not even close to show and the only reason he was over is because he was going against Brock and Roman. Anybody could’ve got cheers facing those guys.
@@Treywave4146 Most giant are boring, heck all are. So really, you just don’t like the concept of plain giants cause WWE have never done it right outside of Mark Henry, Undertaker and Kane.

He is lmao
Naw Mark doesn't need Hall of Fame when He is the literal Hall of Pain.
Guess you didn’t see him get inducted? H.O.F. 2018
Mark Henry a low key diamond hunter 💎
This just shows how humble and decent both of these driven men are.
He pursued his dream and made it far. He didn't win the title of the world's strongest but gave it his best. That fact probably made the transition to wrestling easy mentally.
The type of friend you want to have. Caring but 100% real with you.
Props to Braun for chasing his dream, and being humble and wise enough to realize that he was chasing the wrong dream.
Respect him going for it and giving it his all. No shame in that
Mark Henry a legit strong man who would have been number 1 for years is the best recruiter for the WWE.
Thor, Eddie and Brian better respect the compliment given to them by mark. Hes the only guy who was a CLEAN tested athlete putting up somewhat similar numbers to untested powerlifters.
It was definitely Z not Eddie he meant
Mark and JR have some of the best eyes for talent
He has brought in a lot of good talent. Dude has an eye for it.
Better to try and fail, than never try at all.
I love mark henry and his story telling abilities. Man should have had that hall of pain run long before 2011
Absolutely love that Braun already had that Tennesee tat sayin COUNTRY STRONG lol. Fits him so perfectly
I would've felt so reassured after earing that "hell yeaaah".
I know bro was relieved to hear that😂
Aww man!!! I didn't know Mark recruited Braun!!! This is legendary!!!
We need a list of every guy mark scouted
Man I just love these interviews with retired wrestlers I grew up watching.
And even though I don't love it like I once did, these help me appreciate it more when I do sit down and watch it now.
Mark is genuinely a great human being.

Mark has become one of my all time favorites just from his story’s and then looking back on his career and remembering all the moments
That's so cool, two huge talents and I grew up on Mark Henry. The world's strongest man is an incredible personality
Never seen a clip where Henry came across as anything but class and genuinely kind. Awesome to see.
It’s a beautiful thing when you can get good advice but still follow your dreams, although you didn’t achieve them fully. But still have the humbleness to reach out and get another chance at a different goal and no hard feelings were met. True maturity 💯
Never heard a bad word about mark Henry and all he ever did was help others.
At this point, Mark Henry is working on another HIF induction. His out of the ring contributions are stacking steadily
That's the main reason I try to be respectful towards any and everybody. Never know who might open a door for you
Mark Henry has an insane eye for talent. The more I hear about the people he’s brought into the business, the more impressed I get with his recruiting ability.
Mark Henry just be putting ppl on under the radar and it’s astonishing
Mark Henry is a true OG Owen Hart is looking down on you brother you always speak highly of him and I know you miss him and I know you love him ❤
Mark has an eye for talent
Respect to Braun for still trying and for reaching out after, and respect to Mark for still helping him out and getting Braun's foot in the door!
Thank you Mark for your personal hard work and the work you've done behind the scenes with talent that you helped
Dawg. Mark's a G, he meant that when he said it. Respect to anyone who does that.
Such a boss move from Mark. And also, to be this in tune with everything to know that it aintgon happen in strongman. Love the smarts and the candor.
Mark Henry is proving to be the best unofficial recruiter for WWE
Great story. Puts Mark in a whole new light.
Mark is an amazing scouter because he’s actually just an amazing guy who sees the potential in everybody he meets.
I have listened to like five different podcasts that he has been on in the past week and I believe everything mark says. He's so positive towards everybody's career and only wants to see or help people shine and it's wonderful to hear his stories
I'd love to meet Mark and just pick his brains about the business. He seems like such a chill guy.
Braun is from my hometown of catawba NC! Much respect for that guy he used to change tires at a tire shop in town he even changed a few of mine before lol and mark is and was always a great strong man and entertainer 💪 🖤🤘🤍
Bro was a talent sniper. An absolute bro for that.
I always respect Mark Henry. He's got a great personality. He's honest but respectful. He's funny yet can be serious all at the same time.
Shout out to Mark Henry for spotting and helping talent.
Bro WWE needs to give Mark whatever money they have to just be a recruiter cause his eye for talent is insane!
This « hell yeah where you at ? » at the end was too smooth 🤣✌🏿
For mark to be like hell yeah we still have got room for you basically is dope
You know you dealing with a legit friend? When you comeback years later and they still help you out!
Mark Henry is such a treasure to wrestling inside and out the ring.
Mark Henry…growing up as a 10 yr old watching wrestling i never gave you the credit you deserve. As I’ve gotten older and seen how you are outside of wrestling through social media and podcasts, and pull the curtain back if you will, man you are the salt of the earth. I really enjoy your insight and the stories you tell about your experience. You’re a great dude! You have a big fan in me.
Mark seems like a chilled dude.
Honestly, fair. Dude didn’t wanna give up on his goal without giving it a real shot, but sometimes reality hits and you gotta take what’s in reach.
That's pretty cool that Mark brought Braun in the door of WWE. He's the reason why we've got the monster of all monsters 💯
Mark should be a future hall of famer simply from the talent he’s recruited for the wwe.
Mark was the real Strongman, You see his record was Strong for a natty during his strongman Career, One of his strongest fits is the Apollons wheels, Wherein you clean and press a 366Ibs fix weight with 2inch bar with a train wheels, Out of 10 Strongman, he was the only to press it, some lift them up to Shoulders but couldn't press it, 1 competitor in that show was able to clean and Jerk 515, But couldn't press the Apolllons wheel a 366Ibs 2inch bar trains wheels.
I'm glad Braun tried WWE and made it fr fr. Mark Hendry has been in the strongman game for a long time he knows what he's saying plus he understands talent from being in pro wrestling. Much love Mark.
Could listen to Mark tell stories all day
Mark Henry persevered to become a living legend. He'll always be the world's strongest man to me.
Met both of them at the Arnold classics in maybe 2014.... both of them are beasts
He’s the man god blessed to bless others✊🏾
Mark is so real for that
Mark is an elite talent evaluator.
I love it!!!
He was definitely a dream smasher, but he gave him a helluva back up option. WWE Dream that Strowman probably never knew he wanted. Lost out on one dream and awoke in another.
I LOVE IT!!! 👍👍👍
Love seeing clips of Mark he’s so educated and very funny
This is why he’s a HOF and more mark it a genius
"Hell yeah where u at"

Mark Henry inducting people into the Hall of Pain by giving them the Dream Smasher
Respect him for trying and respect him for swallo this pride to call mark for the help that was offered
That "hell yeah. Where you at?" came from deep down.
That's a friend, someone who tell you what is hard but needed. 👍
When they ask “where you at?” Always a great sign
That's awesome. Not a big wrestling fan but always been a big MH guy. Seems loke a real good dude
Mark Henry should have a second hall of fame nod as a recruiter, this guy had the run of a goddamn lifetime with scouting talent
Respect both these Men.
Mark's recruiting for WWE is unparalleled!
"Hell yeah where you at?" 😂 that's a real conversation bro
Who doesn't love mark Henry honestly he's a goat in the background and one of the best promos of all time with the fake retirement!
