    The Russian girl missed in the head that's why the 3 points was deducted. You have to atleast touch it to get the points. Kim took it very calmly and that's very good

    The russian girl is worse, she can not control her feeling her attitude is absolutely wrong for Taekwondo. Stay calm and stay strong that’s what Taekwondo Battle is all about. And beside don’t blame the korean girl for why she have 4 scores at the end, if it’s true that she is wrong so why don’t the Russian coach report it.

    This is something I could never do. Just to many years of martial arts under my belt. All those openings and no hand techniques. I'd be throwing back fists and punches before I realized it. it's just a reaction.

    • @princeroyalty4687
      @princeroyalty4687 8 лет назад

      Jeff Gibson it makes sense but you wouldn't really be able to throw those punches I mean think about how much longer the leg is then the arm. If you were running up on some one to punch the a TKD person could get you easily if many different kicks like a spinning hook or a front snap for example. In TKD you still learn hits and self defense but it more kicking based as the kicks can be much stronger then a punch.

    • @toybe6486
      @toybe6486 7 лет назад

      Well if you look how close they stand next to each other it would have definitely been possible to throw a punch.

    • @vaulander73
      @vaulander73 7 лет назад

      Yes. The legs are longer than the arm, and also about 5 times stronger on average. It is also slower. You can't move with one leg up except for small chicken hops. I am not saying that arms beat legs by default. But legs don't beat arms by default either. I came to TKD from other martial arts, and in my first tournament I got in close and threw a few to his chestguard. No points for that, of course, but it was just reflex.

    OK, that was weird... why was the 3 points by the Russian being deducted? it was a clear shot to the head! The one in question should be the 4 points by the Korean... it didn't even touch! Don't they use sensors these days? how can they still get it wrong?

    • @user-sx2sf1zx5v
      @user-sx2sf1zx5v 9 лет назад +3

      Yes, I agree that the hook didn't hit. But the Russian did deserve to have 3 points deducted. At the last moments, she threw two head shots. One that didn't hit, and one that hit only because the Korean was busy asking for a replay. There's a lot of things in TKD not scored simply because the refs/judges don't see it. If you look at 5:17 - 5:18, there's a clear head shot by the Korean that would be counted with today's electronic headgear.
