When I started playing the game, I was scared of the Defender because of its strong armor. Now when I see the Defender, I'm relieved that it's not a broken premium tank..... This game won't last long....

minos not that good considering it doesnt have a fully traversable turret, and cant side scrape. and has a cupola and lower plate weakspots

@@CB-nl5jc i dont see any td is OP except the 268/4, Turtle MK1, T110E3 and this but the turtle almost never gets played and is way too slow, e3 is also slow and 268/4 is russian and the 279e is still a thing... havent you noticed how relevant mediums are these times. for example the 430U, 140, TVP, CS, Leopard, STB, 907, K-91 and UDES are insane in their own ways

not really, tanks like torvagn dont miss often enough. they are all op otherwise they would not sell at all
I'm gonna be honest, if the Vipera would have been balanced and not frustrating to play (because of the bad accuracy and dispersion), I'd have bought it. In this state, being toxic for the players and for the enemies, it's just not fun to play and to play against it, so I'm not gonna buy it.
Seems like this is the minority of players though, because WG continues to put in overpowered premiums, so it has to sell sadly

I will buy this with premeditation to only farm lower or even higher tiers people to feed me with credits. Everyone need credits and premium tanks are for this. Making money in this game for new tnaks should be easy.

Except the vipera has weakspots. 122mm guns can overmatch turret roof, it has 20mm side plates underneath the tracks that can be overmatched as it comes over a ridge, and weak shoulder plates when it’s angled that tier 8’s can pen with standard rounds
And the lower lower plate is 20mm too and overmatchable

@@CrazyPanda688 good luck hitting those consistenty.. all tanks have weakspots my dude. Its the frequency of being able to hit them and the fact that this tank can 1v1 anything on tier 8 without any problems. I've been playing the tank all day. Its omega busted!
Here are my two cents. I think, even though WG made a lot of bad decisions over the years from community and gameplay perspective... I think the biggest problem is ourselves. Those OP broken premium tanks just sell like crazy. We vote with our wallets and whenever they introduce a balanced tank like premium Yoh for example... people complain, calling it "trash" or whatever. But whenever they see this sweet sweet Skoda tier 8 premium that is even better than tech tree tier 9... they're ready to spend money right away. I say this being guilty of it myself, at least a little bit. I am an owner of Renegade. But at least it has clear disadvantages so I was okay with buying it.
Can completely agree, as long as we are buying those tanks it's not going to stop. We are telling them ourselves that it sells good so it's a good idea to put in more cause... money. And the Iron Arnie and BZ-176 are a complete mess too, everything has more and more armor and less weak spots than ever...
people should have voted long time ago to close the wallets so wg would remove artillery early, that way ebrs wouldn't exist and game would not be pay to win. sigh
Dude, there's no "beginning of the end." We've been saying the exact same thing for like what, five years now? WG don't care. Some players quit, most of them come back eventually and for every permanent quitter there's a new player. WG has NO competitor on the market. Nada. Nothing. And the addicts need their crack. They know it hurts them. They know WG keeps cutting it worse and worse. But when the craving comes, we all come back for our dose.
I quit a few years ago (whenever the 268v4 completely broke CW's) I had been wanting to quit for a while at that point due to things like the 252u defender, medium turret armour buffs but finally having 20-28 268v4's in every single game slapped me hard enough to quit. Booted the game up the other day for shits and giggles and boy did I giggle at the state of the game... whilst I was in the game I took a look at my friends list and most of my old friends and omni clanmates, some of whom went to fame, meme etc. all hadn't been on the game for 2 months, 3 months, 4+ etc.
That tells a story when a significant percentage of the best players in the game (who aren't youtubers making money off of it) are all quitting the game, it shows the game is going in the wrong direction and alienating it's biggest fans (the people who actually research the game and learn all the nuances of it and want to contribute to the health and balance of the game)
Catering to those who don't care about health and balance gets WG a bigger paycheck in a shorter amount of time though...

@@sparky1595 Agh for a lot of folk its not even the game state, just life hits you and then you gotta re-prioritize. I havent played in years until 2 weeks ago but i still see plenty of folk still online from a few years ago. The thing is with newer people.. so many want to play competitively for rewards etc but to get the needed tanks the MM sees to it that you will feel pain from frustration grinding up the tank lines and rebalancing when you get there even if you spend money.
I dont care much anymore as i've finished nearly all tank lines to where i want.
I can enjoy the odd good game where the match up is fairly good, and laugh at people going mad in chat getting stomped... its sad the chat isnt open anymore it made the competition more fierce but except when ppl try get personal... lots of emo ppl with all this frustration
@@DiSHTiX If it wasn't the state of the game these people would still be playing, even if it was just not quite as much. I knew many of them for 3-4 years+ and still keep in touch with some of them, the sheer state of the gameplay is the issue and these are people like me who were OMNI and some moved on to FAME and other top clans. You don't get a top level player abandonment like that unless there are core gameplay issues

the game has been dying for few years now, its past its prime. They know it will die, they're just trying to grab as much money as possible before that happens instead of trying to prevent it. Balanced tanks dont make as much money

New tier 7 td from new line is unpenetratable when hulldown... i was struggling to pen him with t95
thr gun mantlet on either side of the gun is a weakspot, only about 80mm

Yeah... I met this thing in my 705 and I met a good player playing it..even though I ended up victorious...it was a really tough nut to crack ngl.. He angled really really good in it I actually sent him a gg message.. It's scary how op this thing can be in the hands of a good player
As a free to play player, this is just ridiculous... even the downsides of this tank don't really seem like downsides. It's true that from your perspective as a super unicorn it would be annoying not being able to snipe and doing less avg damage.. but what about newbs with 1k battle only who buy this tank and they go yolo on experienced players like myself in our tech tree tanks, we stand no chance and these noobs would think they re playing well...
I swear at least kran was dealable with but this thing. ABSOLUTELY NOT, cant wait to have another hull down tank at tier 8-10, i dont understand how the tier 9 and tier 10 not have little gun depression from having its turret mounted on the front. Wargaming will need another 2-3 years to break this game and make players hate it with this kind of tanks added every 4-5 months.
In blitz wg added a similar tank but its a tier X and its a japanese heavy with an enlarged stb-1 hull that has a tiny lower plate the you can only pen with like 330 mm of heat pen and only if you’re slightly above it you can pen, and a pretty average cupola that I can’t pen with e50m from point blank and on top of all that an impossible chance to track it with damage, at least the amounts of times I have tried

I don't like a game where everyone can pen everyone with everything, armor is useless at low tiers, with rare exceptions like matilda, valentine, b2. But it's bad having the downside of being slow, u trade mobility for armor and yet u get penned by everyone with normal rounds.
Tier 10 or tier 5 ^^ you should be able to beat it with tier 10s and with tier 5 u dont face them

at this point i just gave up. In my first battle after i downloaded the update i got literally five viperas and three smc 56 in enemy team, and while playing a 252u on gold i could not do anything with my accuracy. I have decided to get off world of tanks till october so maybe these tanks will get nerfed or if even not, there will me less of them. After 9 years of playing and supporting WG financially im considering leaving wot forever. Wot is digging their own grave, absolute masterpiece came down to disgusting p2w game.

Been in the grave long time for me, started with long breaks, now have had it unistalled for prob 1yr or so, can't remember when I played last. I'll check in now and then, watch some CC's latest vids and such.
same. the few cc videos i watch keep me away from installing and trying it out again. its just not what it used to be 5-6 years ago.

They removed Wt.auf.E100 at tier X and added this at tier VIII.

Been saying for years that WG fails to see that if they make a game that is fun, fair and balanced, players will voluntarily throw cash at them. But instead Wg chose to go the dark path of forcing spending to stay competitive. Because that's easier to do and there are enough idiots with big wallets.
tbh WG have to make money too , I quit wot and play war thunder for about 5 years ago but I still find Wot contents enjoy to watch.
I think the best way to improve the game state would be returning old maps where you could properly flank people trying to sit hull down, Dragons Ridge comes to mind along with others.
For me the frustration with the game isn’t the Tanks themselves, it is the removal of all the maps I used to enjoy, and the one they bring back; Pearl River, they butcher into a 3 lane corridor fest.
Also funny that it has 1400 HP, more than most mediums on tier 8. Also remember about Prototype (tier 8 american TD with turret) with weakspots, worse armour overall, worse mobility and 1150 HP only.
Worse speed. A turret that can handle 190mm of pen guns. And need to angle the front for the hull to be good. But has no side armor to do the angling with. But a up side is the 248 or whatever standard pen.. But same gold pen as this Viper thing... Viper players need to spam gold so they are not making credits in it. And the enemy players have to spam gold and still can not pen it. GG WG

I generally agree with your point, however after seeing the reaction of lots of people after the recent auction, nearly everyone crying how the vehicles were shit, boring, useless, crying about skins for older vehicles, what i see is that the community itself wants those busted tanks. Not everyone of course, but many. They want to easily open their wallet and shit on poor players who can't buy the newest powercreep OP tanks, or the ones who have to grind tech tree tanks. In other popular multi player games you can't buy better gameplay but here you kinda can and lots of people in the community look for that experience, just look at the MM, full viperas.

I actually had 3 year break from wot, downloaded the game back 3 days ago, gave it a chance and played 20 games, the game is still in the same shit situation as it was when i quit, people only spamming gold so armor doesnt matter and if you dont spam gold/use op premiums you are fucked. Will never come back, used to be my favorite game for many years.

7:50 You captured the frustration I have and other players as well, that shell supposedly hits your tanks but no visible damage. I would like to the team of WOT implements a shell camera like they did in WOWS so when you press a button the camera follows the last shell fired, also in replay mod.

I've been playing this game for 10 years. They've always crossed the line, but this time they've crossed the line big time. This is simply unacceptable. Even the tier 7 has tier 9+ armor. End of story.

You know, to be fair to Wargaming, there have been times where THEY were right and the community was not. Before the Type 59 came out, most of the people on the EU forums thought it would be underpowered. Yes, no joke. Absolutely they thought that. Meanwhile WG were worried if it isnt too strong but listened to feedback and released it... and the Type 59 broke the game for awhile.
But in the current day I feel as if they just dont care at all. Skoda, 252U, the upcoming K-2 (I weep for the pain this will cause) - these are fixable game design mistakes. And the Chief and Object 726 (called 279E in-game) - ugh.
A proper, passionat dev can fix WoT in or get it in a fixable state in 6 months. I feel as if WG no longer have passion for this game and it is now just cynical.
Take a look at the Obj. 259A and Udarniy if you're worried about the K-2 lol
they're clone tanks, but one has less armor (240mm effective upper plate at the weakest), better gun handling and a top speed of 60kph. the other has more armor than an IS-7 (upper plate is 320mm+ effective) and can go 45kph, with 2,000 base dpm.
And did i mention they both have V shaped hulls and >50mm turret roofs?
@@psnmadracer27 259A doesnt worry me as much. Udarniy is weird, IDK. K-2 is the most toxic IMHO since its literally above IS-4 armour on tier 8. The other oens are pike nosed, they arent as tough (though still tough)

The weakest point on the turret is 300mm, which is the first 2 pixels next to the gun mantlet. Beyond that it's all crazy angles at 350-380mm+
And the K-2 has the same roof type as the IS-3, where >90mm guns can overmatch it. The Undarniy does not. A T110E3 can't even overmatch it
Hey kajzoo, do you think you can make a video in the future, in your opinion, showing in what circumstances it is better for a tank to have one of Improved Rotation Mechanism/GLD/Improved Aiming/Vert Stabs over the other gun handling related equipment, or a combination of two to three of them? For example, is it better for the Mino to take IRM over Improved Aiming? Thx in advance!

the fact that you can be a better dogfighter is, that you have the gun nearer to the enemy, which means, you get a better angle than others
anyone remember when the waffle e 100 was considered super overpowered because it could do about 2400 damage in a few seconds? now we get that at tier 8, with impenetrable armour for the low price of 40$
No man, the WTE100 could do 3300 damage, in about 12 seconds. Not quite comparable.

At this point I actively want Wargaming to fail, not WoT, Wargaming. They are no longer worthy of this game and are ruining it. This does not go to all the employees just doing their job, but for greedy executives. This is my most played game ever and I am infuriated, that is why I'm going to stop before I say something really mean.
Wargaming is leading the game to be a pay to win game. I miss the wot in the past when not lots of prem tanks and hull down beast to lead the game in victory. Therefore, each tanks have the different characteristics to go to the different places to do the things what they should do. Then the prem account, the strong prem tanks show of which ruin the fun and bring lots of id ot to the game makes it unplayable. Its not all about skills but money. Bring me back the old ver of wot.

I didn't know the premium was coming out but I'm not surprised. However, it was never mentioned although the assumption is that it's better than the brand new tech tree tier 8, but is it? Or are there just no comparisons yet?
Wait a second. If I start playing wot again in my STB-1 ( tier X medium).....chances are a Vipera can send me to garage with a clip ( provided I don' use HP hardening) ?? Is this correct ?
Fun fact: There's a thing called HE, which everyone has access to. Guns of 120mm or Higher, simply load HE and derp the front, near the turret ring, dealing guaranteed ~200-300 damage per shot, which is roughly 7 shots and the tank's gone. Artillery is also not rare, so it is most definitely going to be clicked plenty. There's also platoons of fast tanks that like rushing these op tanks and tearing their asses apart both ways.
Give it a bit of time, people will start realising it's weaknesses and soon it'll be just as bland as other tanks.
Some days, I feel like coming back to the game, because I miss my Renegade and 703 II. Then I see videos like this and the feeling goes away.

I would rather have seen the addition of the wheeled Italian TDs. They wouldn't be going EBR speed, but go maybe 60mph in a straight line, like an EBR without turbo mode. Plus, you could still give them the "DPM autoloader" mechanic but because of how squishy they are they'd be able to have better gun stats instead of them being fat tornvagns
Edit: also, assault TDs getting HT health like this is dumb. If you want the benefits that come with being armored AND having the inherent benefits of the TD class (namely pen and damage), then you need to sacrifice something

this game won't die because of this, because this has been happening for years now, but we keep forgetting how it was last time they released broken tank, so its just a everlasting circle with no end.
if they put bigger coupler, weaker middle lower plate on the tank and gave it like +7 km/h mobility boost it would be quite fun IMO and still very strong premium tank

As someone who left many years ago, I'm impressed that this game is still alive somehow.

As you said at the end, premiums will sell just as well if they are fun, I bought the Primo Victoria when it released and it's been my favorite premium ever since, and as someone who also owns a Defender I can say that I enjoy the Primo so much more, I can't even remember the last time I took the Defender out for a game.
Don't buy the centurion 5/1 it's gun handling is awful

Notice how WG had the content creator bundles in the store to keep the big CCs from calling them out for releasing the most broken vehicles ever? The tier 10 hull down can only be penned by JPE 100 heat shells in one tiny spot with like 40% chance of pen??? The chieftain is easy to pen with those shells. Glad to see someone finally is seeing the same shit I am and actually saying something rather than coping their ass of. +1 sub, keep up the content!
Kind of unsure if I should get it or not…. Makes me sad that they introduce something like this and I don’t want to support it, but on the otherside I don’t want to miss out.

its middle lower plate effective armor should be about 220 mm and two weak spots on top of its turret as big as obj s 140

I do not doubt the next holiday tanks will be able to match Vipera, available by unboxing 75-100 holiday boxes.
i find the sides and engine deck easy to pen, I don't have too many problems facing these unless they are in a stubborn hull down position

Good game I think Vipera isn’t as broken as Skoda but still is very hard to pen but in some of open maps in wot with tanks which have good mobility you can youse it against it. (Gj waiting for another episode 😉)

It's so fun to see the outcries of the tank being op and easily squishing it with my 122mm 50tp prototype with shots in the upper turret. The sides are squishy, the turret is as well. Also bought the vipera, but obviously it is actually a lot weaker than the 50tp prototype. That turret at least successfully bounces shots instead of scaring low tiers only. Everybody loads premium Ammo or shoots at your massive turret weakspots, some may flank you and once you're alone you get squished :'D
How many tables have they introduced now that are unpenable above the lower plate?????
Vipera was introduced as a perfect Caliban food. He maybe smacks you once for 440, you smack him twice for 600, totaling your damage on 1200. Easy. If fact, you can just right click him.
WG management: Profits are down this quarter, we need a new tier 8 premium. Any ideas?
WG devs: Let's make it a TD, because people are tired of heavies.

Imagine playing low pen tanks like leo fighting these things when they are hull down. Even frontally hitting tat small lower plate is so hard you can just forget it
