4:44 just to say that you tighten a screw. Most of the video is about the other plastics than the mirror itself. Also most cars dont have those plastics and the mirror is loose not from the screw, but from the "joint" it has after that.
Pop it off ball mount, install thick rubber grommet just barley on ball joint and pop mirror back on. They can be found at any hardware store for like 30 cents. Might have to play around with diameter and stiffness to get it to stay.
In certain car applications retightening that windshield screw can and will pierce the glass causing it to break. A Honda Dealership installed a new upgraded auto dimming rear view mirror in my car and that is exactly how they broke my windshield. They did replace my windshield for free over $600.00 for just the part plus installation, so be careful.
JJreal My mirror popped off as I hit it with my shoulder. I tried to force it to “pop” back on but I created 5 spider -cracks, ruining the windshield. Safelite put in a new $600 windshield but would not put the mirror back on. They said they didn’t cover that. How do I get the damn thing back on?
Just fixed a 2006 Rav4 2 wheel drive rear view mirror by pulling the mirror off out of the ball cup directly at the back of the mirror. This mirror had two balls so only the back of the mirror ball was loose. I noticed the cup was cracked in two places making the ball loose. I carefully put construction wire around the cup and fed it out the day night switch space. I twisted the wire with a pliers until the wire was tight around the cup making the cup cracks close. Snip off the ends of the wire so the day night switch works and your done. A tiny bit of grease put in the cup before pushing the mirror back on the ball helps by keeping the plastic from too much ware. Push the mirror back onto the ball. Hope this helps someone.
Some also have a ball socket up behind the mirror that comes loose take mirror off from winsheld glass clean the socket with electronic cleaner let it dry than put some blue Lock Tite into socket let it dry and this works fantastic.
OK I need to know how do I put my mirror back up it did not come it was loose just like that but it came loose from a little circle in the part came out of that circle is plastic how do I put that back up I can’t put it won’t go back in

Many types of grease breaks down plastics. Which one is safe?

Bro nice video but you're working on a mirror not a mere
Put a system in there so that mirror will flex hard.
