thing is, cases do a great job protecting your phone but even in a case it can still break.. but you're less likely to break your phone while dropping with a case then without one. The couch example doesn't really make sence cuz your phone is used as a communication device that you take everwhere and is at high risk of damage, a better example would be a car.. .

I understand and see your perspective on wanting to preserve the original design of the phone. For me I always view my phone as a resource and not an accessory to look at so I always like to put a case on it. For it it allows the device to be more personalized since iPhones are very common and a good case adds more durability to the phone which is important to me because not only is the phone fragile since it Made of glass but also expensive to repair the glass also. Anyway that my perspective always enjoy seeing and sharing what our different perspective is on this topic about cases.

A few thoughts after researching going this route. Breaking phones is a business - it’s beneficial to charge you for Apple care, screen repairs etc. and folks who buy these can easily afford repairs and insurance, it’s easy money for Apple they don’t have to design these things to be durable if they got you on the design train - ingenious actually. You don’t take your leather sofa or nice guitar camping, running, or to work where you use it as a functional tool nowadays.

it’s simple to take off and put on though, if i’m going to dinner, class, or whenever i don’t need a case. If im going to exercise or work i’ll obviously throw it in a case

    • @BG4life13
      @BG4life13 Год назад +5

that doesn't really make sence because Apple sells cases for the iPhone which are extremely expensive.. if you have apple care screen repaires are cheaper then their cases Apple care is only 10$ a month for 2 years.. they make way more money selling their fancy leather cases. which people usually buy apple care with cases which is a scam in my opinion. just get apple care.

For Apple users, the trade in value is what offsets the high cost when they buy their next Apple device. Hence, going caseless is a nonstarter. It might make sense for older phones, particularly Android, because they tend not to be supported as long as Apple phones

I just started this no case thing today. I’ve always appreciated the beauty of the iPhones only to slap a case on them right away. I dropped my new SE in the toilet earlier (yes it works fine - I just vacuumed the openings for a few minutes) and decided to go the day without the case while I soak it in some bleach water…even the silicone cases get scuzzy looking after a while and I hate it. But I’ve been having so much fun using my phone naked, so I looked up if there were any other crazy people out there. I love looking at my phone for the first time since I unboxed it, and it feels great in my hand and the screen feels more responsive without the protector. And I’ve seen through many videos how durable the new iPhones are. I can definitely vouch for the water resistance! The last great(in my eyes) phone I had was a Motorola G7 Power back in 2010. That fell in the toilet and did not make it out alive so naturally I had a mini stroke as I cleaned and dried my SE. Anyway, great content as always. You’ve inspired me to keep the natural look for now 🤩👊

Really good points you made and I seriously start considering going caseless. I've had my Galaxy S8 for 7 years now, when I bought it, I didn't unbox it until the Spigen case arrived. 😅 Barely left the case since then. Apart from some wear around the charging port and the camera edges, the screen and back are in immaculate condition. Pulled it out of the case a couple of days ago, and I wondered, how actually I never appreciated the design and sleek feel and look. The glass back which reflects so nice. How beautifully crafted the curved screen is.( and we're talking about an old ass phone). All in all, I'm considering going caseless for now and the next phone I upgrade. I think I've dropped my S8 not more than 10 times since I've owned it, so it's fair to say I'm pretty careful with my device. Anyway, great insight. Just like you said, what's the point of buying a nice leather sofa, and then wrapping it in plastic foil? Plastic foil which, invariably, you'll change quite often.

Not really an apple fan for reasons you've probably heard your entire life, but I have echoed the same thing to all the people I know for YEARS and they treat me like a crazy person! I get that some people are clumsy, but if you pay premium dollar for some tech, the best thing you can do is treat it with love and care. The top notch engineering, ergonomics and light weight of moder phones keeps them PERFECT for staying firmly in your hand. Dropping should be a very rare ocurrance. I can't speak for apple, but most smart phones are incredibly resilient and can take extensive beating and all kinds of impacts/droppings generally with just some frame warping over long periods of time. However, not all designs are made equal, there will always be types/points of impacts that the design is vulnerable to. I really think the real key to smart phones is a healthy repair industry. Giving customers total control over THEIR product, so that an accident does not always cost them a total replacement. This is the main reason I refuse to use apple products. But I have tremendous respect for the engineers behind each and every one of these things. Also, rather than buying a big heavy case, buy a top notch screen protector that is heat applied to your phone and feels like a part of your screen.

I remember being 19 with my first smartphone, and my dad pestered me to start using a phone case, immediately. Thing is, I loved the look and feel of my phone so much, and I figured ‘hey, I’ll never drop it.’ And put it off for like two weeks. Well one day I was listening to music, and bumped into someone on my way to class, a building over. I had to swallow my heart back down after barely breaking its fall onto hard asphalt. The thing was a small iPhone 4 like yours, and while the all black glass casing was dope, was real slippery. Next spirit week, I managed to find probably the only collegiate case for its size, and a paper thin screen protector. I never looked back😅. Every phone I buy stays suited and booted now.

i never liked phone cases, but my first couple phones were cheap android tracfones. one day i got promoted to the family plan and got a budget galaxy (samsung galaxy j7 i believe). it was the most expensive and quality phone i ever had. my old phones would barely even get a scratch when i dropped them but they were built like bricks. but one day, only a few weeks after i got the new phone, i was about to leave with my family to go somewhere and i picked up a basketball to get a quick layup in before i hopped in the car. that one decision traumatized me cuz before my feet hit the ground, my phone did, and the screen was shattered to the point where i could no longer use it. ever since that day i've been using tempered glass screen protectors and clear phone cases. even right now, i have a iphone se with a cracked screen protector. i replace the screen protector once a yr, as well as the case since it gets discolored over time, but i came to the conclusion that i'll just never be able to use a phone without a case. like i replaced the screen protector earlier this yr and cracked this new one less than a month later 🤦🏾‍♂😂

I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max with AppleCare+ and I used a case and tempered glass until the following happened: The iPhone fell on the asphalt, the tempered glass broke completely and when I removed the Apple silicone case I noticed that the frame had a dent. Then I started to think that even if I have a cover it will be damaged and I will not enjoy it 100%. Then I stopped using protectors of all kinds.

I just got a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and, despite trying some different cases, they all put some strain on my fingers when handling the phone. And I've ALWAYS had a case on every smartphone I've ever owned. This is the first time I'm actually thinking of going caseless with this one, because it actually handles pretty well without one. Got an ultra thin case and dropped it a few times in last 4 months no damage, but this week i dropped it on concrete and the front top right bezel got a dent as unless u get a bulky case with a rubber bit that covers the bezel too, then its still able to be damaged. I Totally don’t agree with you there is why the phone is incredibly slippery so when it comes to protection here I recommend using a case especially here the phone is expensive. 2.Touch feeling is good by not comfortable for 15 minutes and above and when compare it to a case like Caudabe Sheath for example it way better touch feeling and makes phone grip much easier.
It’s shape edges make it hard to using the phone for good periods of time like gaming for example
3.The fingerprints on the fame of the phone without a case looks terrible and make your phone looks dirty.
Finaly the high quality phone case makes your phone looks cleaner and prevents fingerprints like Caudabe Sheath for example i like Caudabe Sheath its Matt and looks beautiful
So here is the points i use a case for ( 1.Protection / 2.Touch & Grip Feeling / 3.Better Grip / 4.Comfortable / 5. Looks Clean )That’s It Let Me Know If Is The Any Advantages Of Using High Quality IPhone Case.

Dude, 5x same comment 😂 appreciate your effort 😎 here comes the same answer #5: It`s up to everyone to use a case for better grip or in certain situations, yes! E.g.: I use a case to attach moment lenses. my point is, that I like the original design way more than any case. Going caseless of course needs a more carful use of the device, which I feel is for many users to "unhandy"... @ fingerprints: no issue at all with 15 pro max. greez ☀️

As someone who is contemplating... On whether or not to get a case myself, I find that you just need to become hyper aware of your phone's surroundings. For example, never putting your case less phone in your pocket with keys or coins. In addition, you need to be aware what surface you're putting your phone on... Because it might be dirty or worse yet... Slippery and on a slope.
If you folks have the mental capacity to do that... That's fine. But as a dad, I can't have that undivided and focused attention on my phone (aka tool) for too long.
Putting a case on your phone isn't to to make it ugly, but rather to make it life proof.

That’s about the cost of what most people spend on a single case and some buy multiple cases. Cases get nasty and turn yellow etc. Not only that, but one thing that most people don’t realize is the majority of iPhones that come into the Apple Store for glass repair were broken while in a case. If it’s gonna break it’s gonna break. Get AppleCare + and enjoy your phone as it was designed. I didn’t buy a $1,400 phone to wrap it in plastic or rubber 😂
