  • I can't believe this exists! 😳 ‪@VegaTrem‬ This is by far the best trem I have ever played. It's a simple swap on most guitars. The low tension design makes it super fluid. The tone is a million times better. The sustain is unbelievable. And the range is incredible. It even sounds more musical! No doubt, this is the world's greatest trem 🔥

Gave up trying to restring our floyd rose years ago, the trem just kept lifting as i tried to tune it. So i packed the trem block gap with a peice of wood cut to size. And guess what ...it sounded waaay better, and sustained more ...likely coz now the strings vibration travels into the body, so feels more connected too. Its nice to feel the gtr body vibrate against my ribs as i play each note now, whereas before it was maybe just dissipating into the trem and springs. Wow what a different guitar in both tone & feel. Took me 1/2hr+ to 'try' n tune it before ...the wooden block i cut n packed in about 10mins. Im was never really a user of trem anyway. And instead just use lots of finger vibrato.

That's why you adjust the springs in the back as you tune.

Maybe 3 springs is not enough, like my strat uses. Some only use 2. Maybe it needs 5?
Anyway after blocking it, it improved the tone,. I think i prefer better tone over doing trem dives. Also suggested it to a mate, and he noticed also that it made his guitar sound better, so kept it that way too. So maybe a great way for musos to get a better sound ...just depends on whats more desired; tone or whammy.

Beautiful! Would this work with an Ibanez 2 point synchronized strat style trem

Thank you! I'm not sure. I believe it's designed for traditional trem cavities

I do a lot of phrasing with the flutter technique like Steve Vai does at the end of his song Blue Powder. Fluttering each note in succession through the run. I'm fixing to buy the vega trem and i think you can get different spring tensions with it. I'm wondering if the springs with less tension exaggerate the flutter more??

Yes, less tension gives you more flutter. I use the lightest tension and the flutters are great!

Why tho? And how is it better? And does fender offer it as an option or is this strictly an aftermarket item?

Hi bro, great playing. Do you still have the Vega Trem installed? Can you comment on the thickness of the sound as I noticed that the trem block is tapered or a little slimmer. Thanks

Yes I do! I love it. I find the tone better than the stock bridge. I guess that's the only way I can compare it. I think quality of the material has a big impact as well, not just the the size. 🎸

How can it possibly beat the Floyd Rose without a locking nut?
