    Commentators.....instead of criticizing Shane for taking his time and sizing up the angles and shots, try to learn something instead, after all he IS the player and not a bystander....he apparently is doing something very right for him....no 2 people are alike....also stop acting like you are a psychiatrist and telling us how negative Shane is....he does what is best for Shane and not for anyone else....If you cannot say anything nice about a person, then say nothing at all.....just remember what he had to overcome as a kid....being 97% deaf and attending public school....I think he knows all too well what works for him and does not need your comments that criticize his actions in a negative way! That is how you come across on the mic, so remember what your brain wants to say before opening your mouth!!

    Just because a camera has numerous available angles doesn't mean you have to use them all. It's very annoying when you're viewing a shot from overhead and just when the player is about to pull the trigger, the camera drops down to table level and you miss the intricacy of the shot. The game should be viewed primarily from overhead unless the shot calls for another view.

    These guys are not fit to commentate on this performance. Rather than taking the opportunity to teach the viewers about why Shane may have chose a particular option, we instead get pointless criticism about how THEY would have played the shot and how Shane's efforts fell short of perfection. So much potential for great commentating was squandered during this match. I understand these commentators are high level players, but their constant disappointment and bleak predictions are shut down time and time again by a truly legendary performance. In turn this paints Shane as an amateur having a lucky day, and a group of commentators who can't stand to see a player going on a hot streak. This type of know it all commentating is a true disservice to the game and is one of the biggest reasons why newcomers are struggling to really latch on to this sport.

    I guess no one is replacing Efren Reyes yet. I looked at Shane's first possible shot in the first game and if Ephraim were at the table he might have tried kicking it. The result wouldn't have been anything worse than what Skyler Woodward did. But more to the point Shane more than has the capability to kick that one ball into the top right pocket. It's really disappointing to see players back away from possibilities because they think that they're too high risk compared to other things which to me seem to be equally high risk. But I'm not a professional pool player I barely played pool at all, so what do I know. Just put I watch.

    • @OzarkBill

      Not true. Look closely and you can see the camera is not set up square to the table, showing just a bit of an angle. This is why you think he was tilting the rack. The overhead camera was set up much worse, IMO, giving a horrible look for angles.

    • @MichelJosephCardin
      @MichelJosephCardin 3 года назад

      @@OzarkBill Well how funny that is; I read your comment and decided to look for myself and it just so happened that a player had his back to me and was racking and this is at 1:11:45 and when he moved; it was racked crooked; from someone whom can play with another man's arms while on the barstool and dictating his aiming and never missing; that didn't last long and not very often; the other players would get angry and protest. And it does not matter about any angle that the camera would have; it will always be obvious; for some of us I guess. The three is further from the back rail. This constitutes as unsportsmanlike. It's impossible to rack it that crooked by mistake. Unless your a moron. Are there regulations on that where one is allowed a certain degree of slant? Because it would be just as easy to rack them where they slightly aren't quite touching. 5:52 identical slant in the rack and he is hurrying up to break and we are shielded from seeing the rack and almost missed it too. That's propaganda at it's worse.47:12 again and worked at it as to to make sure to angle it correctly. Disspekable is what that is; it was all as setup for media attentions. Hey viewers aren't there; live with it. I'm going to check each and every one of them and won't watch anything else because of that. It's like watching wrestling.

      Oh my!!! They rack their own games for themselves!!!!No wonder this guy won 26 in a row; he does more then that at home all the time. I guess the other guy was out of practice. Sometimes; just not playing or even the other player taking a long time to play will throw you off in ways of somewhat of being annoyingly taken to an anxious state; I myself have always made it a rule to ignore them and those strategies usually stop when one does that and takes just as long as him to play your next shot too; especially when you know what you're gonna do but make it look like you don't see it. LOLOLOL Payback's a bitch. My worse one is when they go stand at the pocket that you'll be potting and hold their cue on an angle. That one; I've always told them to move the hell out of my sight.

Crazy a player that freaking g good always tilts the rack or gap certain balls! He's been doing this ever since I seen him in Vegas way back in like "06"(the yr he won the 8 ball open) undeated by the way!! Also killed it in the green room n made tons n tons of cash. He didn't back down from nobody but when u make 3 balls a break it's hard for anyone to beat! SVB IS A CHEATER AND HAS NO REASON TOO! HE'S ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD FOR MANY OF YRS.
