Scuttlebutt is a little bit of a falling out between he and Devon. Normal internal band stuff. He'll be back. Still plays with Duane on his solo stuff though.

The Allman Brothers played this venue before. that is cool. Not bad but to be honest. Not enough close to what their parents band was like. I realize these are different individuals but it just seems a bit dull. I dunno, maybe it's me or my mood? I just am not feeling a a wow here. I learned a lot of these songs, harmony guitar parts and slide parts. Don;t get me wrong, it's good but there is just no wow.

@@thetempleunfinished I don't think he plays with Duane anymore. I follow Berry on FB and he's been playing with other musicians, often in Sarasota at small venues.
Duane is good, but no Dickey. The second lead is boring and meandering. Devon did not inherit Dad’s voice and since he only plays acoustic rhythm, I’m not sure what he brings to the table.
It's both their family's music...the Hell are you talking about?? if anyone has a legitimate claim to playing it, it would damn well be them. No one condemned Hank Williams Jr for playing some of his father's greats at his concerts. Give me a break dude..🙄
What a stab in the heart that remark is to these men who have dedicated their entire lives to music. NOBODY will ever have the magic of the original Allman Brothers. But these guys are damn good, and WHAT is the point of expressing such thoughts in writing, in a place where the band members might well read them? If you have such thoughts, please keep them to yourself.
Duane Betts is steadily improving on guitar. He seemed quite weak and not confident when Allman-Betts was first formed but seems more confident now. I wonder if he'll remain mostly a rhythm player or transform eventually into a lead role.
Thank you! Glad to see an entire Allman Betts show posted. They are back on tour. Going to see them in 2 days!
Thanks. Sound greatJohn. What a cool comeback for the Allmans and Betts!

Who‘s on bass? Pity that it‘s not Barry but this man is doing a fantastic job.
THought the same. What`s the matter with Berry.
I believe it's Berry, not Barry just saying.

What happened to Berry Jr?
Not sure. I was wondering that too.

Ich verstehe nicht, wozu die zwei Schlagzeuger brauchen. Das war auch schon bei ihnen Vätern so.
4 guitarist ? I can only hear 2 . Thanks for keeping the music type we grew up with !

Why isn't Berry Duane Oakley playing bass?
Maybe dealing with his destroyed house.

I personally think Duane is doing a damn better job than Greg's son.
Always a hater somewhere with a neg...🙄
Maybe kids should form their own bands and not try to fill dad's shoes.
They did.

Terrible, these guys aren’t near their fathers
I tend to agree with you - particularly Devon. Duane Betts is decent, and at least he can sing.
