Does everybody realize that here they play the entire Fillmore East album, in order (with Soul Serenade thrown into YDLM)? Then for an encore, they play Midnight Rider and Mountain Jam (with Blue Sky thrown in it). It's amazing to realize that Duane and Berry played on 100% of these songs in their time.
Definately realize that, it was a huge draw for me that year on the lockn lineup. That year was insane, dream line up pretty much, minus phish. The Fillmore east in its entirety was a planned/scheduled thing. I thought honestly once those songs were played, the songs that came after they really fuckin let loose for. This show was great, saw the brothers many times over the years. Every one I'm grateful for beyond measure especially now that it's laid to rest for good. Were they ever here at all?
MY last Allman's show, it's right up there with births, deaths, etc. Since Greg died all i can think about is how priceless my memories of all those shows, including this one are. Killer 21st century take on Fillmore East, A++
This is one of those bands that lost so many key members that you would think that the band would have died off like most. But Warren and Derek really do justice to Dickey and Duane. I think the death of Brian Farmer made Warren have one of the best shows he's ever played. Even though this is the only ABB show I managed to see in my life, I feel so lucky to be able to be a part of history and to have the chance to see one of the last shows that the best live band the world will be able to experience.
Jim Acee This was my one and only as well. I knew as I was walking to my tent after the show that I had seen something beyond special. Dick cops had to fuck with me and my friends so that killed my Allmans buzz. I will never forget or forgive.
My one and only as well. I'm fucking obsessed to this day to say the least. Would've missed the whole thing if it weren't for this evening. Rgof! Lots of love
My last A.B.B. show. They were a little off that night but a off night for these guys was still a awesome show. First got the religion on 7/1/ 94 at Walnut Creek and went on the most incredible musical journey of my life. There will never be another band like this one. Thanks for the memories.
This recording really does the show justice. I guess we will never see the likes of this again. It sure was an awesome tribute with Derek and Warren... We were fortunate to get the honor to help prepare there meal before the show and saw them up close briefly, just relaxing. I feel quite blessed to have grown up on this music through all there iterations. Just makes me wanna dance with my lady. They may have played there last show together last night, but there music is timeless.
Gregg's subtle and tasty playing on the Hammond B-3 is not often spoken of but anybody who understands The Brothers knows the importance of that particular contribution to the overall music's sound. The solos were incredibly soulful but the real treat was Gregg's rhythm playing underneath the music.
Spot on. Man I used to love when I’d hit an ABB show and Gregg’s Hammond was particularly high in the mix. As GA put it, was “gravy on the meat”. 😆 Damn Fine gravy Gregory…miss ya bro 🍄

Last festival set with only a few Beacon shows following the next month before they called it quits. I was at this show with my pals. First show was 76, last show 2014. I'm grateful for all the incredible music and great experiences I've had through the band. This was a great show. Thanks for all the filming work.
The ABB since the beginning till the end ( if they has an end) are the Best band ,the Best musicians, Gregg the Best voice and played the Best music of all Time. Good blese you for posting this. Thanks!!!
Good lord amighty....they'll never be another band to sound like this....Greg's voice and Derek and Warren's guitar work, makes me smile everytime I hear them play! Thanks for posting this!
Never tire of the soulfulness that has really been brought to life even greater than when the band reunited with "Dreams"! The old time feeling that was there with the original line up! I only wish Dickey was still there! I will never tire of the spirit that heals when these guys hit the note! Thank you for sharing!!
blessed to see this show. Thank you ABB for what you bring. No one does it like these guys. You have brought much joy over the years. Now watching this video brings things full circle for me. Its been a pleasure to see and hear all your music for all these years.
This was such an amazing show. Lockn' 2014 will forever be ingrained in my mind as the highlight of one of the best summers ever. Time to Doobie it up next year. Cant wait
The Bros were my first concert at St. John's in 79. Since i've seen them away least a dozen times. Including Woodstock 94. I now live in Palm Beach and Gregg used to pop in to one of my haunts, Funky Biscuit. Unannounced! I've always missed it! Butch used to also pop in since he lived here. Last year, i saw Oteil air in south Dave Matthews down here. Now, i love listening to Derek and Susan. And Warren and the Mule.
Arrived in Lockn suffering from persistent back pain for a couple months now. During this set I decided to visit the massage tent. The masseur was able to pinpoint my problem area and slowly work his elbow into the offending spot. The boys had started a slow "Whipping post" which proceeded to crescendo just as the pain in my back peaked at the same time with painful pleasure. I walked out of there with a smile and the key to cure my pain.
This concert pays reasonable homage to an event that happened an amazing 50 years ago, when the original Allman Brothers played this same exact set list at the Fillmore East in 1970 with Duane Allman and Dicky Betts on guitar. If you like this performance, the original will blow you away.
The whole festival was one treat after the next. Winwood played with 1st evening with Panic and then an afternoon set the next day, 2 nights of Wilco, Willie Nelson, Acoustic Hot Tuna late night in the forest, and topped all off by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers on Saturday, The Allman Brothers Sunday eve. I missed Gary Clark, TTB and then Cheese too. Greatest collection of talent and fun I've seen in one weekend.
@@marcking1417 Wow. My first Lockn' was 3 years ago and my second was 2 years ago, so I missed a lot of great shows.
