Courageous of you to explore these buildings. I think of all the past lives who are associated with this area. Fascinating and also sad. Respect to all the brave and strong Russians living here today. ❤❤❤
Agreed. In the US it is the kind of building some junkies would follow her into and in maybe a year or two someone would find her remains. Abandoned high rises can be like that. No one hears the screams.
@@kenibnanak5554 Not every abandoned building has gang members and junkies all around corner like in US probably not even there..ofc there are some but not every and how do you guys know she went alone in i mean having backup that is not on camera
@@ZeljkoZeljko-qo1vg Oh, I agree. Even the worst people can't be standing by every building at once. And you are right not every building. But she would only need the one to have a really horrible day. However, here in the US I am well aware of multiple instances of murdered corpses being found in abandoned, deserted, buildings. Some were junkies or homeless people attempting to use the facility for their own purpose when bad things happened, others were people dragged off an otherwise deserted street by punks who saw an easy prey. It mostly happens in states where local laws prevent potential victims from carrying a self defense weapon, but that's another topic. I would say casually walking into an abandoned hi rise like these in NYC or Washington, DC or Detroit can very much sometimes result in a really bad experience. Even the Police go in groups in some neighborhoods there. Yes, she may or may not have had someone with her. We don't know. In a bad situation with some criminals how important the presence of an assistant who would also be a witness varies in importance depending on who and what the back up is. An old man or woman needing a cane to get around is less of a threat to a robber than a visibly armed uniformed officer with a working radio. Then again some folk like challenges and I am aware of instances in which uniformed police were themselves the targets of criminals who wanted to rob them for the joy of it. That is why in some places the police themselves travel in groups. But very little in this video shows the indicators of gangs of junkies or criminal activity. Still it is deserted and who would hear the screams? Would anyone care? Is there even a phone service there? Are police even on that side of the bridge? All things to consider before intentionally attempting to become a statistic.
In our city they call this place “the Pentagon”. at 2:10 you can even see the word "Пентагон" on the door. The place is considered quite bad, but not for mystical reasons, but precisely because drunks and drug addicts always hang around there
@@Dima666Air The attraction of abandoned buildings (and tunnels) as a place for some 'underbelly'' elemants of society to hang out has been observed by me to almost a universal trait of any large city on this planet. :)
Amazing explorations into the abandoned wilderness. Very eery but to me seems very homely as well. Kids playing around feeling safe. Something about that far north region of the world. I was in Hammerfest, Norway a long time ago which I think is a bit higher up than Vorkuta. But not as interesting as this place. I imagine there would be Sami people somewhere here amongst the Russian's. Thanks for showing around Lisa - you are a trooper. Good that you rewarded yourself with delicious looking food.
You surely know how to make a thriller, Super Lisa! I can imagine how it feels like to live in such phantom surroundings... only by my wildest dreams. I couldn't wander in there alone in real life 😬 So scary and sad... The kids were heart warming, as well as the comfort meal in the end. Thank you for a priceless journey! 😍
Hi Lisa! A great and extremely interesting vlog! This place with its partly abandoned and dilapidated buildings somehow has a very special atmosphere that you don't find everywhere. But your colourful clothes were a great contrast to this, conveying a positive, life-affirming mood just by looking at them and spreading a good mood, no matter how grey the place may be. Greetings from Germany! 😊😉👍
I can't believe you went alone! You are a brave woman! Never look down from a high bridge. Look ahead to help keep your balance. The children playing are so innocent. They don't know what better is. They are rich in life to have the whole place all to themselves to play and have fun! Be safe Lisa! Have Fun! 😁😘❤❤
As a Child I played in Semi Abandoned coastal military defenses in San Francisco. We had to find a hole in the fence, there was usually just one lonely soldier there and they never caught us. (Battery Davis Fort Funston) now it is a park.

Lisa, you are now an honorary 'urban explorer', and were very brave to enter such a place on your own as there could be some dodgy individuals squatting in the buildings! A great playground for the kids, but like most abandoned places scavengers have previously visited and removed anything worth taking. It also makes me wonder what life would be like in a post apocalypse world. I am pleased you found a nice restaurant. In Nordic countries, reindeer meat is a popular choice as it is low in fat and a good source of protein. 🇸🇪 By the way, in Eastern Germany there are also abandoned housing estates from the cold war era! 😁
Speaking as someone who lives in vorkuta, its not nearly as dangerous as it looks. There are worse places in more "civilised" parts of the country, when it comes to danger from fellow humans. Abandoned building suddenly collapsing on you or some drunk individuals looking for trouble are pretty much the only things to look out for. There wont be some narco gangs (or similiar) sitting in those buildings.
Very enjoyable meat I've had it, very lean yet tender. They probably did away with corners to stop the formation of snow drifts in the eddy. Interesting video.
I think I see an economic development opportunity for Vorkuta, a perfect place to film post-apocalyptic movies and hard rock videos. The restaurant at the end tells me how everywhere people try to make life better. Even in broken down places like Vorkuta. I think you should try doing interviews with people. Look at how Eli From Russia does that. Plenty of people are saying you’re brave. I agree. Don’t know if I would walk on that bridge.
Thank you for bringing us along on your adventure. I finally got time to watch your documentry. I kinda wanted to say BOO when you were in the dark hallway of the apartment building. Ive had deer meat in Canada in a stew. It was very good. The cheesecake with gingerbread and honey sounds really good. When did people stop living in the abandnded buildings. Defiately agree it would feel like the end of the world. You are a very stong woman to go on your own.
Hi Vasilisa. Great vlog. You were brave to explore the apocalyptic town across the wrecked bridge. I guess it was reassuring to see the children happy there in that unlikely playground. Wouldn't like to be there at night! ❤

Great Video Lisa. The content of this video along with the intense music and sound makes for a great mistery and scary video. I love it. I said it before, your videos are becoming the best. You are so amazing. Thank you and many blessings.
This is one of your most fascinating videos. You showed mostly abandoned apartments, but they still had electricity. I don't know about running water, but people evidently still live there. You did not show any homeless people living in tents as might be seen in San Fransisco, California. Are there none? I saw also an imported US Jeep Cherokee. Maybe yours or your crews? You also showed children playing in ruins, but they seemed like decent children, not street urchins. And then, a cafe proving that Vorkuta is not dead. I before knew nothing of Vorkuta; your video helped me know even more about Russia! I love your videos, Lisa! I love how you show the good, and the maybe not so good about Russia!

Cool video Lisa, well done with the music too. I watched a video last year, a guy showing what it was like in Vorkuta during the winter, so much snow! It's probably more beautiful then! Also I'm not sure but I think I remember hearing that it's not accessible by road, just railway. Very tough people there to survive the cold and the isolation in winter especially.
Lisa, it's awesome that you got up the courage to show us all some less maintained places. I'm curious about how it works these days. Why doesn't Moscow take an interest in fixing up more remote places? It would seem to me that if the remote towns were improved, there'd be more tourists to bring money into the towns. Context is important. Vorkuta is a mining town which was booming one time. As any other mining town around the world has its good times and bad times. In bad times the population decreases in good time it grows. The derelict buildings were one time not derelict. You don't find many cities in the world the size of Vorkuta above the arctic circle that were so well built. Certainly a Soviet achievement.

No homeless in Russia because they're all squatting, no doubt. Kinda surprising to see so many abandoned places there. Is it true many people emegrated away after the USSR?
