I had to do most Munro’s solo after my climbing pal had a hip replacements. Fortunately he was a rock climber and I did most of the Cuillin Munro’s with him. I managed Sgurr Mhic Choinnich on my own but I needed Martin Moran, the guide to get me up Inn Pinn.I’m pleased that on your Munro videos , the routes you have taken have almost always been the same as I took so it’s great to be able to retrace almost every step. Thanks again , Charlie.
Great video. The only time I was on Cairngorm the weather station looked like an over iced Christmas cake. Derry Cairngorm was my last hill, done in shorts November 2007 from Derry Lodge. As we sat on, top a squad of soldiers came running by from Ben Macdui, goodness knows where they were going. Now all my walking is done on RUclips. Thanks for the adventure.
Hello, What a cracking hill to complete on and especially coming in from Derry Lodge when you're certainly warmed up before taking the height. Glad our outing provided a wee flashback to your day. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi Geoffrey, The grit paths are one of the many Cairngorm attributes that makes for an enjoyable experience. I can never quite understand some walkers dislike for the high plateau. Cheers, Charlie.
Looks like you’d a grand day Charlie. I headed west to Ballachulish, shared the the wind with you but certainly didn’t get any views. I have to say I’m always impressed with the speed you two move at..
Hi Russell, The forecast looked as if you needed to be in the east for the best chance of clear tops. The wind was a bugger but the clear tops made up for it. We try and keep the hill legs going with some local hill walking when not away at the bigger tops which helps keep us reasonably fit but there isn't an easy answer you've just got to go do it. Cheers, Charlie.
Great video, Charlie. Long time since I've been there. Footpaths in places are like walking along the high street. Things have certainly changed over the years.
Hi Ian, Yes the Cairngorms changed when the national park came into being and a lot of path work followed. Always an enjoyable outing although the bulk and height of the tops are deceiving. Cheers, Charlie
Good stuff guys, lovely scenery. I've not been that far east yet, probably next year for me now with the days shortening and rough weather recently. Certainly could feel the wind just watching some of those scenes, especially those quivering tufts at the last cairn. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers, Andy.
Hi Andy, I'm sure you'll enjoy the Cairngorm experience once you give them a go. They're bulk just make them a bit different to other mountain ranges across Scotland. Cheers, Charlie.
Another great day out Charlie, I’ve only managed 3 Munro’s in the Cairngorms so far, so your vids are always inspiring. Love the big Tor’s on the 2nd one, great views as well.👍🏴🏔
Hi Frank, The Cairngorms take an effort to get around with the extra height and distance to get at the tops but has a distinct character to any other area. Always a joy getting into this area even although I’m normally knackered getting back out of it 😀. Cheers Charlie
Fantastic Charlie! That's some distance / ascent you both put in. I love that area of the Cairngorms. Some of my favourite views up there. Thanks for sharing them with us!
Hi Kris, The Cairngorms is always a great place to visit for a different feel from any other areas. The height and bulk of the hills plus the walk in distance make them quite unique. Great place…. We wanted to get onto a few tops before winter takes a hold. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi James, The wind gradually increased through the day to the point blowing you off your feet at a few stages. Fortunately we were on the way down by then. Cheers, Charlie.
Great video Charlie! Both of you must be super fit. Nice to see a different route up Beinn Mheadhoin. I climbed it & Derry Cairngorm from Derry Lodge recently with the dog. Loved the big summit torr! 👍
Hi Linda, Yes, I saw your Cairngorm trip with the midges. Beinn Mheadhoin is that bit different than the norm but it’s generally been blowing a gale when we’re there which involves lying on the rock. The Cairngorms is special and has a totally different feel to any other areas. The long walk just to get to the hills adds to the love/hate feeling that walkers have for the place. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
Most enjoyable. I love that area and it looked perfect walking conditions. It’s a steep drop and pull up from cairngorm to Mheadhoin. My kids were young when I took them and they still resent my route planning that day. Atb gordon
Hi Gordon, Glad our outing brought back a memory blast of this area. You just can’t beat the family character building outings when the kids are young.. Cheers Charlie
Just discovered your videos Charlie. Impressed with the quality and informed commentary. I am 80 this year and compleated on Ladhar Bheinn in 2008. I am no longer fit enough to get out so it’s lovely to retrace my journey through your videos. Curious about your companion....your brother ? Keep them coming !
Hi Michal, Glad that you can get memory bursts from our outings and I'm sure there are many places where we are retracing your steps. Mike, is my identical twin which is just great when you have partner with equal capabilities......lol. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi Larry, The Cairngorms always gives us bigger days particularly when the forecast is good. Long walk in are generally the norm just to get the hills. Cheers Charlie.
Hi Paul, Just trying to get the most munros for the day to match capabilities. The route also allows different options for getting over the remaining tops. Cheers, Charlie

Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Graham, glad you enjoyed our Cairngorms outing. Many thanks for watching. Cheers Charlie
A real treat, Charlie, for anyone who's been across the tundra. The crunch of feet on the grit really re-creates the experience. Many, many thanks.
Hi Geoffrey, The grit paths are one of the many Cairngorm attributes that makes for an enjoyable experience. I can never quite understand some walkers dislike for the high plateau. Cheers, Charlie.
What an absolutely fantastic film, stunning, thank you very much.
Hi Colin, Many thanks for taking the time to view yesterday’s trip. It was a super day and surprising busy for midweek. Cheers, Charlie.

Great video Charlie, pity about the wind, thinking of doing this route with a wee wildcamp at the Loch ⛺ atb Brian 👍
Hi Brian, The loch is a super camping spot and should offer a bit of wind protection. Have a great overnighter when it comes round. Cheers, Charlie.
Brilliant Charlie, keep them coming!
Hi Paul, Glad you enjoyed our recent Cairngorms trip and I appreciate you taking the time to view. Cheers, Charlie
Great video, lots of memories. many thanks for sharing. ATB

Superb👏👏👏👏
Hi Barrie, Many thanks for taking the time to view our last outing. Great to get clear tops for a change. Cheers Charlie
cracking video Charlie, it certainly looked a bit windy on macdui, well done guys,

Perfect timing Charlie! 👏👏 That's the route I'll probably take on Saturday morning. Another great video 😁
Hi Anthony, It’s always great to get a look at the challenge before you go. Hope you have a settled, clear day doing the round. Cheers, Charlie🤞
Wow that's a long day Charlie, you both are really fit,Ian Dundee
Hi Ian, It’s great getting some bigger days in before the shorter days are on the scene. The Cairngorms are idea for that. Cheers, Charlie.
great film, big day :)
Hello, Many thanks for taking the time to view yesterday’s outing. A super day albeit a bit blowy as the day went on. Cheers, Charlie.

A Big day out 👍
Hello, zunkwind, Yes, a big day but great to have a clear day completing the route around Loch Avon. Cheers, Charlie.
Another big day out lads.
Do you ever go down the goat path in the northern corrie's, is it much of a time saver?
Hi Alistair, No, we haven’t tried the goat path but we’ll add it to the list as we’ve a few trips planned in the Cairngorms. Cheers, Charlie.
Half the weather you where expecting Charlie! that's a big day...I haven't seen that route before? is that your own? Ta Paul.
Hi Paul, Just trying to get the most munros for the day to match capabilities. The route also allows different options for getting over the remaining tops. Cheers, Charlie
