I have to replace the AA Battery connectors for my watch ( they broke off ) and the rubber belt on the Omnibot cassettee player. I look forward to your restoration videos.
I ended up using a 'AA' battery holder as a replacement for my battery compartment, I am missing both of the coiled springs and backing plates that originally helped move electrons to their work site. Until I have time to fabricate terminals this battery holder is what I used temporarily. In my case I had for corrosion that had made its way up the copper wire underneath the insulation. So insure you have continuity in your old wiring before you attach this new holder. I ended up using existing holes to route the wires so that I can eventually repair the original terminals and reinstate that battery compartment. Double sided tape or some other non destructive method will attach the battery compartment to the inside of the rear battery compartment cover. Search Ebay for "omnibot cassette belt" - you will typically pull up a couple of listings :)
