Very sad and disturbing. He was loved and respected by many who knew him as a gentle man helping the community. I hope they find what happened quickly.
You have to wonder if he molested a bunch of kids and was going to get away with it, and one of the kids he molested in theory decided to go vigilante. I'm not saying he molested a bunch of kids, I don't know anything. Well, I do know he was a priest and those guys love to molest kids all over the place and get away with it over and over. That kind of thing rightfully attracts vigilantes. Not that that's what went on here.

So sad,There was a priest and his associate shot to death in Covington La last year. Evil is among us,taking away our religious leaders ,the only thing I know to do is keep my faith in God and pray,pray, pray.
The fact they are not releasing much information makes it more suspicious.
No it isn't. There is a reason they don't release all the details, it helps identify culprits later when they have info that wasn't publicly available.

This was a revenge death, if it was robbery or assassination they would have shot him in the head to make sure he was dead , unless he was shot in the heart , that just means the killer knew what he or she was doing and wanted him dead . Either way the killer is connected to the bishops personal life in some way and it is not random .

On his 56th birthday Fr. James Chevedden fell to his death in downtown San Jose, California after completing jury duty for the day.
The Jesuit Order rushed to claim the death was a suicide.

You might learn something. The man was 69 years old. There most likely would have been a paper trail of accusations by now if he was a pedophile or an enabler. SNAP has a huge data base on these accusations and he's not there.
