We visited the Bedford MES for the Gala,and to meet up with some friends. A great turn out of loco's,in steam and on display.
We had a great time with everybody..
Many thanks to drivers and members of the Bedford club for a great day.
We filmed this video on the new 4k Panasonic in HD, with a new mic muff fitted,it stopped the wind noise but sadly it needs a trim...You can see it in the early shots.So I removed it but it is getting better.
All footage again taken hand held.
What a fantastic railway! That Evening Star looked awesome. 😃
They are all amazing working models of the standard types,we are so lucky to have engineers that can make these engines for everybody to see and relive the golden age of steam.......Regards Chris
What a great set up there. Some really nice locomotives and rolling stock. Looks like a decent run too.
The engines are all visiting,but they are very nice.After climbing a long gradient,the track comes to a section of loops which if wanted you can travel around for as long as the driver wants before returning to the starting point station.
Excellent Chris! Thank you for e explaining what the ‘furry’ encroachment was....at first I thought that your dear partner Rosie was wearing a fur trimmed hat! Don’t worry about it though....the ‘Hamster on a stick’ and errant boom microphones have a long and venerable history within TV broadcasting . I was also delighted to see the immaculate Q1 loco running....my congratulations to the builder/owner.
Really the video was a test of the muff but that didn't last long it was soon off.All trimmed now You would think the Companies that build these cameras would test these mics for wind noise and find a way of solving the problem...Cheers Rob,thanks for commenting......Best wishes Chris

MAYBE , BUT NO ONE INCLUDING I HAS EVER HEARD OF A SO CALLED SUMMERFIELDS RAILWAY, WHO ARE THEY AND WH ERE ATE THEY LOCATED IN THEIR TEA HALF HOUR. THERE IS DISGUSTINGLY NO LISTING OF MINIATURE RSAILWAYS IN THE UK AT ALL, SO HOW CAN ANYONE KNOW OF THEIR EXISTENCE WIGHOUT ANY REFERENCES TO THE NAMES AND LOCATIONS OF THEM - PREOPLE ARE NOT MIND READERS- A TOTALLY REDICULOUS STUPID SITUATION AND THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM WITH THE ENDEMIC LACK OF INFO AND PUBLICITY OF EVERYTHING THAT IS RIFE EVERYWHERE IN THE USELESS UK DUE TO INCOMPETENCE AND LAZINESS !!!!!!.
Funny that as a lot of people have heard about and visit this railway.Perhaps you should scan the WWW and you will find most of the Miniature railways in the Country or are you just to LAZY to look.

I DO LOTS IOF RESEARCH AND FIND ERRORS IN BOOKS, ON THE INTERNET AND TV PROGRAMMES ON TRANSPORT, ALL DUE TO INCOMPTENT LAZY RESEACHERRS. , MICHAEL PORTILLO AND TONY ROIBINSONAMONST OTHERS HAVE STATED INCORRECT FACTS FOR A STARTERS. I AM BEDRIDDEN HAVING LOST BOTH LOWER EGS, DUE TO MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE FROM MY FATHER TAKING IT OUTB ON ME FOR HE BEING INJURED ON A 2ND WAR MINE AND LOSING HIS FRIEND. CONSULTANTS CONFIRM THAT THE RESULTING SEVERE ANXIETY, STRESS, TRAUMA AND HYPERTRENSION I WAS FORCED TO SUFFER CAUSED BAD CIRCULATION AND THE AMPUTATIONS. BUTD ESPITE THE GOVERNMENT VIA THE WAR UNLAWFULLY ROBBING ME OF MY MOBIITY. DUE TO CUTS I CAN NOT GET PROSTHETICS AND MY CROWDFUNDING APPEAL FAIED TO GET THE VERY URGENTLY NEEDED FUNDS FOR PRIVAE TREATMENT FUNDS TO REGAIN MY STOLEN MOBILITY.
