Couldn't find it easily (at least on youtube, a fast look) but then it seems to me this version is the one in the 1974 Robert Redford Gatsby, (quite foreseeably), that sung by Nick Lucas :))) after having found a few versions, i could listen to a whole album just made with them :)))

Fast music, fast cut, fast reaction to start of film in the cinemas. Fine (-;
Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of that great American novel was far better than it was given credit for. The movie was ingenious actually. Luhrmann's challenge was how to make an adaptation of a wonderful story steeped in the popular culture of the 1920s appealing to a 21st century audience . He was smart to avoid trying to make a modernized cinematic update of the 1970s version of the novel (starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow), which sought to literally and realistically recreate the environment in which the story takes place. Instead, Luhrmann's masterpiece is a degree of separation removed from the ambiance of the 1920s, and he fills in the interstices between that period and 21st century tastes with colorful strokes of contemporary cultural ways and means - such as basing the sound track on contemporary hip-hop music with a mere passing reference to jazz age music, costumes created to suggest that period in American cultural history but in an obviously contemporary style, and modern materialistic and hedonistic hyperbole - that manage to straddle the two periods (1920s and early 2000s) in a way that creates an illusion that makes the roaring 20s feel almost contemporary to modern audiences.
In that regard, the movie comes off more like a film about modern people having a Gatsby party (which was a popular thing in the 1980s/90s) where the attendees role play characters from the novel. In this regard, the movie does not pretend to be a re-creation of Fitzgerald's roaring 20s. The movie really shines in the way Luhrmann connects the two periods (1920s and 2000s) by making it look like a movie about a contemporary theme party rather than a literal re-creation of Fitzgerald's jazz age vision.
The acting in the film is marvelous, and even a bit exaggerated but in an entertaining way. What's also amazing is that only two of the significant characters (Leo DiCaprio as Gatsby and Toby McGuire as Nick Caraway) are American. The others are mostly Australian and British. Yet, the American accents of these "foreign" actors (Carey Mulligan, Elizabeth Debicki, and Joel Edgerton) are so spot on that you'd think those actors were born and bred in jazz age America. I highly rcommend this movie to anyone, though it would certainly enhance enjoyment of and appreciation for this movie adaptation if the viewer had some familiarity with the novel first. This is one of those rare instances where one cannot say whether the movie or the novel is the better...both are admirable works. The soundtrack, sets, costumes and acting are all just out of this world. There are many editing mistakes throughout the movie, but those are but minor annoyances. Go for it!
