You are so welcome. Glad I could help. The chains will depend on what size you are making. For this size, which is a medium, I made a chain of 31. If you are interested in making different sizes, I have a written pattern for sizes Small to XXXL available in my Etsy shop. Link is in the description box or you can also find it in the pinned comment at the top. Hope that helps. ;-)
@khemanjKreation Hi, I hope all is well. I have a few questions. What if you need a larger size duster? For example, XL tall person. How many row do you knit up to ensure it’s long enough ? Do you always start the chain with an odd number ? At what point would you do the split and add your long/ shorts rows ? I hope what I’m asking makes.
Hi! All is well. Thank you.❤️ Hope all is well with you too! For different sizes (S - XXXL) of the duster, you can check out our pattern on Etsy. It will give you all the dimensions you are asking for. Please follow the link : khemanikreations.etsy.com/listing/1802819151
Ok thanks , so it don’t make a difference if you tie the yarn or burn it ? Because I know with making a chunky blanket you burn the yarn to either finish or start a new color
Yes, it does make a difference. If you make a knot there's going to be a knot in your blanket or garment. That's why I prefer to use the lighter joining method as it is virtually seamless. I use that method whenever I have to join yarn either when I'm changing the color or just joining the same color together.
I watched the video and purchased the pattern and I am still confused. I'm making a size small. The pattern says knit until row 39 then you start the split at row 39 but it is not long enough. Do I just make my desired length than work the split?
Thank you for your purchase. Sorry you're having trouble. 🥺 The split happens at the armpit. So if you put the duster against you at that point and it's too short, you can add more rows and THEN follow the instructions for row 39 going forward. Please let me know if that is helpful at all.
That's right. Maybe another 5 or 6 rows (depending on how big your loops are). Measure against yourself as you go to make sure you don't make it too long. 🤗
A girl wanted me to make this for her but she didn’t want to pay my worth and I wasn’t even going to head crack her, she thought $200 was too much🤔 I told her the yarn alone is about $150+ and the labor about $100 she was a old friend anyone else it would have been $400 am I charging too much? (The $400)
Your pricing is spot on ($400). If you check on Etsy, this is about the going rate for this piece. Its unfortunate your friend is unable to see that she is absolutely getting a deal at $200.🥹

Hello , instead of tying the yarn can I burn the yarn?
Yes, if you go to 4:28 in the video, there are instructions on how to burn the yarn. 😁

If people don't want to buy at the price you give them, you don't need them as customers!! The time and dedication we put into our art is priceless!
