@@halyoalex8942 I suppose, yeah. Seeing a cartoonish resemblance of the devil so many times in a game about the theme gets me used to it, while an exposed brain directly makes me get an image of that in my head (ha)

Well, the thing that disappears there in downpour/dross is a reflection, not a shadow, so the game is correct

@@metrovanity no, its because silver is the bane of the dead and other unholy creatures, as its always been; modern culture only really portrays silver bullets to werewolves but vampires are supposed to be killable with silver steaks & bullets etc, an aluminium mirror should be able to cast a reflection on a vampire as should water, but modern culture has adapted it to just be any mirror not just silver mirrors.
if this does apply though, that should mean werewolves would see their normal self or nothing in a silver mirror too, yea?
They have to add something to Vampire+My Reflection combo

fully convinced that Syncer just lives inside the code of isaac at this point. they say on rare occasions there's a 1/100000000 chance to find Syncer's house in Dark Room.

1:21 Might be a reference to Castlevania: Symphony of the night. In that game, whenever you get inflicted with the petrify status effect which momentarily turns the player into a stone statue, there's a very low chance that you turn into a gargoyle statue instead.
Edith is also an unused Antibirth character. So that's a reference in that regard too.

All things considered I'm surprised we didn't get a proper Ash boss fight or any other reference to The End Is Nigh aside from that cosmetic with how much Ed loves referencing his other games. The closest we've got is Ouroboros Worm which arguably doesn't count anymore after Ed changed the games name.

A few days ago I was wondering how Cain & Abel had no interactions but Jacob & Esau exist, guess I was wrong
I've always love little synergies like book of belial getting better with martyr so I'm happy that a couple more of them exist. Like I always thought if your blue baby & got blue baby's only friend you should get a free soul heart or something cute like that.
This game is great, I don't think that it needs much more content, but maby more niche interactions between bosses, consumables, special rooms and items would be nice. For example rainmaker could have a chance to drop ludovico technique if you fullfill some requirements, or using justice guarantees a vault to spawn in the next floor.

Fun fact. The blood of the martyr + book of belial (or devil card) combo already was a thing since the original flash isaac. Also the 1.5x damage bonus doesn't stack with magic mushroom or cricket's head (which was named max's head in the OG). Also mushroom and crickets head don't stack with each other either.

Tainted Keeper should have a funny face with chaos, and the Lovers should revert broken hearts back to being usable.
I never liked Abel’s rework. I preferred when he shot in the exact opposite direction of you. Same effect against enemies between you, but you could attack enemies on the opposite side of the room more easily.
Also if you have tech x on tainted judas you become a microwave
what about forgotten with moms knife + chocolate milk 1you get a cool ass scythe 2 you are extremely powerfully
