Had an old guy next to me at this race, this was one of my first...dude turns to me, says "I've been to every World 100, and that was the best race I've ever seen." The last 40 laps was PHENOMENAL.
No matter how many times I watch this race, it still gives chills. They really put on a show that night. The best cars and the best drivers for 100 laps of dead in the gut wide open Dirt Late Model Racing.
I wonder if Van Wormers right rear quarter panel from that race is still around? I'd love to buy that thing. This was my 1st Eldora race and my 1st crown jewel race i ever went to. I remember seeing all those sparks flying everytime he went by my seat. That was a hell of a race!!
@@brandondellangelo4819 come on Brandon, if your a true race fan you love seeing men that have helped evolve this great sport into what it’s become, personally my fav is Steve Francis but I was raised in the same house with him and Chris , now he’s retired and so I appreciate those that got us here and I appreciate the new GREAT talents such as Overton, terbo , Bronson and many many more, yet I find myself cheering for guys like T-mac, Dennis erb jr, Owens, bloomer and again, many more. I love racing and I also raced , making me appreciate what they do and how they do it .
What a race! Don't believe this one will ever be topped. How in the world did Jeep keep the right rear tire on that thing much less the bumper. Holy moly them guys was wheeling them cars!!
I’ve been going to this race since 2002 plus the million in 01 when I was 10 but I have such a hard time remembering specifics from each race they all just kind of blend together now
I was there. JVW had the fastest car I had ever witnessed at Eldora, up to that point. It’s 10 years later and I still don't know how he was able to finish third hitting the wall all race long.
THIS is what SHOULD BE the NORM when you get over 2 dozen of the ABSOLUTE,PROVEN BEST going at it in the BIG race. Alas. When i saw the lineup for THIS race before I knew who won and based on the years results nationwide (and 0s starting position) I identified 20 potential winners. Nowadaze there are no more than 4-5 and a highly talented proven field evenly matched 1/2 second a lap behind them at go time.
well then! this sure beats Its Davenport..tick…tick…tick Madden..tick rest of field. one thing im absolutely sure of…nascar has NEVER run a race with this much ACTION in its history.
Yes and the Morton builders world of outlaw late models should all be announced entirely by Rick without any other sidekicks because the other people that try to announce with him nowadays they don't have what it takes
Can't believe how much the cars have actually changed when u really look at them good

Best race I’ve ever attended, and it isn’t even close.
Were you at the 07’ prelude to the dream race? That matched this, maybe etter
I took my Dad to this race, it was his first time at the big E.. still talks about it today. Great race.

its amazing how much this place has changed over the years since my first world 100 when i was 6 in 2013
Don O'Neal said of Eldora : If you don't scare the shit out of yourself at least once a lap , you're not going fast enough to win.
One of the nicest guys on earth, I’d love to see EPJ do it again this year
No

Awesome 100 I’ll never forget Jeep beating that wall down
That was great one hell of a run for Jeep

I was at this race as well. I was standing on top of the Chicago Pneumatic truck outside turns 3 & 4. One of the greatest races I've ever witnessed.
Anybody know the count for how many people was there. That place was beyond packed.
Was there for that race I was in turn 4 and jeep never lifted when he hit the walls. I was expecting him to wreck out but he kept going.
One hell of a race the only thing I don't understand is what good is it for them infield spotters with the cone lights

I actually have the right rear spoiler from jeeps car.
What?!?!
wanna sell it?
My dad raced street stocks against Jeep at Merritt is the mid to late 90s
My dad rase with jeep
At Merritt
I was there for this race to me the best damn world 100 I've seen and I've seen a alot of them
Only 07’ Prelude race matched this
How would you compare this years race to it?
If jeep inst dragging his rr against the wall at Eldora he's not fast idk how he does it but he fun as hell to watch drive
Jason Fitzgerald back there in victory lane. One of the great minds of DLM racing.
might watch it again

That was my first World 100.

Sensational!!!!
Best part was EPJ giving jeep his props in the post race interview

Cool my was there
Oops I mean my dad was there
55 hit the wall atleast 10 times I swear
JEEPPP!! Sorry to see you. Retired Jeep love watching you. It's not the same without you, ELDORA
Jeep will be at the world 100 . Sat and talked with him for about an hr at the dream
What happened to Madden, its like he just magically disappeared from 2nd place.
I think the 2011 more iconic
Oops I mean my dad was there
Is this Rick Eshelman????
yes that is Rick calling the race

How is it the most Iconic?
Scott bloomquist will not even make this year's world Scott bloomquist is done he can't run with the big boys
Bloomquist is one of the big boys.. He's accomplished more than you will in a lifetime, something to think about.
Not a bloomquist fan but this is dumb, he’s one of the tops dogs even still
Probably one of the most delusional takes I've seen. Not a huge Bloomquist fan, but he's still a top contender in any event he enters.
Not really a bloomer fan either but he's one of the tops dogs then and now and can compete with anyone he's a legend of the sport
I'm not a bloomer fan at all... but dude is definitely the GOAT and can easily still win.
