- Here's a little video from Saturday on the Whitby Goth Weekend at Halloween October 2022 can i find Dracula .
Founded in 1994 and held twice annually every April and October, the Whiby Goth Weekend is an event like no other, with amazing costumes, live music and quirky market stalls in the Bizarre Bazaar. It's always great to get back to Whitby, and even better to see everyone gather together to celebrate a fantastic culture!

The Fancy Dress Brigade have taken over the Goth Festival which originally was for lovers of the Goth lifestyle and music.
Only during the day, hardly anyone in fancy dress in the evenings at the gigs we were at, strange that!!
Maybe but it's still a great weekend.
It is halloween weekend after all, you're bound to get a mix. It's nice to see people enjoy themselves and their visit.
literally nothing stops you from going to the gigs...just grab your tickets early because most get sold out fast

@@landyandy4x4 I wanna go and show off all my dresses that I've made for Fasnacht, it's the carnival in Switzerland, just once a year but I'm already prepared for it on February. Beautiful country side and the sea in Withby just stunning

@@landyandy4x4 16th of February it starts at 5 am in the old town of Lucerne. If you're a fan of carnival this is the best besides Rio and Venice
Saw them a few years ago they are amazing and such fun all very friendly we had a great week there.

Cracking video, was a great weekend in Whitby! Some fantastic outfits.
The view from the 199 steps is great.
The cars / vans along the road at the bottom of the steps caused chaos.
A fab weekend, as you say they really put some effort into the costumes.

Didn't see very many goths in that video though, just plenty of fancy dress & I bet not many locals amonst the crowds.

That was so good thank you. Loved the scouts pushing through lol. And the weather was near perfect needed a howling gale to make it proper goth

Used to run up the steps turn around and run back down , but that was over 50 years ago ,was at the very first folk festival in the 60s, lived there a number of years , but now in Asia the last 30

This is awesome !! Lol. Halloween 🎃 is my no.1 favourite holiday of the year !! And it's in beautiful Whitby !! I've been wanting to visit there !! I wonder if they have a colour scheme / theme every year to do this !? They are so coordinated ! I guess not colour schemed ! Nice ,very nicely done !! I live in L.A.& we're very known for the West Hollywood Halloween parade & celebration. But ,you guys are more fun ,I think !! Although ,here we see real elaborated, movie actor like jobs done on make ups & decorations like movie set here !! They spend tons of money for it ,too ! But,there seeing that breathtaking ocean view & beautiful streets of Witby at the same time is equally nice !!👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🧟♀️🧟♂️💕💞

@@landyandy4x4 Oh you'll have a blast !! Guaranteed ! I thought everybody knew the world famous West Hollywood Halloween parade !!? Lol. They party all day on Halloween here !! Lol. If you drive here ,get there early like 4, 5 pm to secure your parking spot as the streets are blocked in the area after 4 pm ,or so every year on Halloween for that .And parking lots charge you $ 20 to $30 ?to park in L.A.on holidays !! This used to be a brilliant Gothic Music Festival 10+ years ago but Joe Public have taken and ruined it. They don't even know what Goth is.
