ECON button turned off means AC is active. Turned on - AC off. (Believe ECON stands for Economy mode) Climate control does actually sync up, you have to do a specific whatever thing with the both knobs XD I'm not sure, but these cars came with the early dsg transmissions, remapping this one would benefit and manual would have no chance against it. This 3.2 is probably faster than 70% cars on the streets at least where I am from hehe and surprisingly enough these hold their value really good compared to a4, a6 - atleast in Europe (parts of Europe, can't speak for other countries tho). Slap in an rns-e led navi, facelift s-line air vents, flat bottom steering wheel and an s-tronic shifter and this cabin is unbeatable by any budget/eco class newer cars imo
This review is not accurate the dual climate control works you hold AUTO, if you hold the temp for a second it scrolls through lets do our proper research.
I have a 2007 A3 3.2 and I really love it. Removed both resonators and it sounds so good! Probably the best thing about this car. Steering is kinda heavy but the car handles like a go kart and it’s awesome! The only thing I don’t like except the horrible fuel economy is the transmission. It feels outdated and sometimes struggles to decide what gear to go in. Also it knocks when going from 1st to 2nd. But overall, great car and possibly one of the best bang for your buck
the single button in the back seat locks the car doors but only if the doors are unlocked and if they are all cloesed, is the doors are already locked the button does not unlock them is just simple locks them if they are unlocked. I can only imagine this is for if you are maybe sleeping in the back of the car with the seats folded down so you can lock is while laying down, or maybe just for children Im not sure but it is pretty useless. I have a 2006 a3 2.0T and love it, much better all around than the e90 3 series I was in before.
Anyone know what engine this has, im in the process of buying one and im still indecisive, every one tells me not to get it cus theyre not reliable any thoughts
I'm late to answer to your question, but it's a 3.2 VR6. Makes an incredible sound, which is called a "Wookie" sound. Just search for the "Wookies in the Woods" on RUclips and you will find out why. :D I kept waiting for a Wookie sound reference in this video, but there was none. :( Also no sound clip for this is criminal, dang it. Narrow-angle, that only has one cylinder head and is a V-engine. Doesn't need two like a "real" V6, since the angle of the cylinders is so narrow. It also fits in a very small engine bay, also a reason why VW stuffed this big engine in a small car like this. This engine has been offered in many cars, for example the Golf R32 that's mentioned in the video. It's generally a great engine, albeit thirsty so if you need a fuel-efficient car, it might not be your optimal pick. Timing chain issues are the Achilles heel of these, same goes for the bigger 300hp 3.6 VR6 in my Passat CC.
this video was great for helping me pick this gem of a car! thanks
Just bought this exact same model and the interior is really nice

How tall are you? I'm 6'7 and was wondering if this is suitable :')
6'3, 275 lbs
Just cuz your button doesnt work cuz the cars old doesnt mean they made it improper lol
You should stay away from reviewing cars! Test them for a few days. Drive them the way they should ve driven and ve objective about real feedback.
The A/C button is the one below the econ button
