The first 3-5 questions on the exam are PBQ questions(simulations) so SKIP THEM by flagging for review. You want to do em LAST since they can take alot of time to do and you don't wanna run out of time for the remaining 75 m/c questions. So go thru the multiple choice first and then the PBQ's. Great video! My Experience: I just passed SEC+ last Friday and I really took these same study materials. The Book is a MUST HAVE. Professor Messor/Free information is great but he doesn't teach how to take the exam (Least for me). Mike Meyers had the best unpacked detailed content of the exam for me. I got more from Mike Meyers than Jason Dion. But on the exam make sure you know what things are and what they do. I also used Comptia SEC+ practice test book. I had to learn that things won't get you far if you just try to remember everything. I took this exam 3x. But great video man!
Congratulations. I totally agree with your thoughts on failing Darril Gibson’s pre-assessment. It makes you study harder which is good because the Security + exam is no joke. I knew 95% of that book , did some other practice tests as well and barely passed.
Congrats great man. I find all your videos insipiring. Thanks for your well researched and lucid contents. Your presentation style is simple and that makes your channel all so amazing.
No but I did pass sec + first try and ceh took me 2 trys it definitely will help to have sec + first and ceh also renews your sec +, I also recommend using a vm and downloading kali or parot os I think v11 uses parot os instead of kali and getting familiar with basic linux commands
Congratulations on passing! I have mine scheduled for the 28th. I wanted to reach out for any other recommendations for the performance based questions. There’s only about 2 practice exams i have to my disposal that have a section for them.
Thank you! I also had issues finding good resources for the PBQs but here's a good one from Darril Gibson blogs.getcertifiedgetahead.com/security-and-performance-based-questions/

Hi I’ll be taking the 501 at the end of this month, I did horrible on the pre assessment when I took it many months ago took it in June and I hit 62/75 should I be able to get close to a 90 on that pre assessment to actually pass?
@@DayCyberwox oh yea I meant like the pre assessment exam in the front of the gcga book I got a 62/75 roughly like a 82ish if I’m hitting that you think I would be successful on the real exam? I also read the whole book recently only issues were the last chapter with crypto
Oh sorry, I thought you meant like practice exams. But that’s a good number, I’d just suggest using actual practice exams like Dion’s those will truly gauge your readiness.

Hey Sterling! I’d recommend you buckle up and study for the Security+ first because the new one in July is gonna be a lot more studying. Then after passing the Security+, double down and do the Network+. Also depending on what you want to do, you might not necessarily have to do the Network+ but make sure you understand the material in it and understand networking fundamentals well enough.
