All outstanding musicians. Two of my all time favorite guitarists. Thank you for sharing.

Wonderful video with excellent performances by all! Just a shame these two guitar giants didn't get to play together (at least, have something recorded) at the show.

In addition to Maestro Hall, I recognized Ben Riley, whom I also mourn and love. Who are the other two musicians?

Jim McNeely on piano and Steve LaSpina on bass.

Joe Pass is the greatest guitar player ever. Jim Hall is not a great soloist.

Disagree. His solo for 'You'd Be So Nice to Come Home To' is an all-time classic. Ditto for his work with Sonny Rollins.

@ericprinzing1600 His playing with Sonny Rollins is embarrassing.

Great musicians, I love Joe Pass to, but Jim Hall for me is more spontaneous and free, and more advanced harmonically. You can't compare.

@@JAZZODUC13 Amateurs can't compare, because they can't see, but critics can.

@@Rickriquinho When a musician speaks, the critic is silent. It's not a question of seeing, but of hearing. There are very few non-musicians capable of really understanding and feeling jazz. Typically, they confuse the quality of a chorus with the speed of execution or the display of technique. Generally speaking, they are incapable of understanding the harmonic treatment of a piece and fall back on the most familiar harmonies.
Relax, I'm joking, but your confidence makes me smile. Jazz is not a competition with a ranking.
