Thank you for posting! I will try this with my Martin acoustic. It has a built in pickup with a volume, and an overall tone control. The three band eq may be what im looking for.
Going to be installing a K & K Pure Mini Pickup in an Alvarez guitar that the B-Band preamp no longer works. Will definately be adding the Pure Preamp in the future. Really like your style and sound. Take care, stay safe.
Thank you for sharing--very nice video. Would just appreciate a bit more information, please. At the 3:40 of your video, I would like to have seen what you did at your computer. Please confirm whether or not my understanding is correct: - The cable that is plugged into your guitar (internal pickup mic) is 1/4" and the mono type. The other end is plugged into the preamp INPUT jack. - The preamp LINE OUT 1/4" cable is connected to the headphone port on your computer. My main question is how to use the LINE OUT connection with an iPhone 13 as would like to use its camera (and internal mic) to video record the instrument playing. Would specifically like to use this preamp, if possible.
Hi Lisa, thank you for your comment and watching the video. From my guitar which as LR Baggs i-beam pick up, it goes to this Pure Preamp and from there, Line Out goes to an acoustic amp (AER alpha). At 3:40, what I did was connecting the preamp to the amp. If you want to connect to iPhone, since the Line Out is 1/4, you would need adaptor so that you can connect to your phone. I have never done that, but I think that is a possibility. Thank you.
Hi Hiroya! Nice video! Do you know if the K&K pick up can be played without pre amp at all or you this pre amp for getting the sound from their pick up? I want to install their pick up to my classical guitar but not sure if I also need to buy the pre amp. Thanks!
Thank you for watching. I think you are planning to install K&K Pure Classic for your nylon string guitar and I would recommend preamp to increase and balance out the output. And this Pure Preamp is simple and helpful solution.
Thanks for the video. Very good sound. What pickup does your guitar have? K&K Pure Classic for your nylon string? I'm thinking about installing this pickup. How does it handle the feedback? I have read that it is easily fed back.
Thank you for watching. This guitar has LR Baggs i-Beam passive pickup. If I turn the volume up, you will hear feedback, but if it is a solo guitar gig or lower volume setting, it is fine.
Basically the main thing is the volume, but the company's concept is clean sound quality so even louder volume, the sound is very clean. And plus, there are EQ too.
Hi, I'm totally noob in this field. I'm planning to install k&k pure mini for recording, do I need to buy the preamp or just an audio interface like scarlett 2i2 is enough? Thank you
Thank you for your question. If you are recording at recording studio, they should have some preamp you can plug into so you don't need extra preamp. Even at home, you can use Pure Mini as it is, but preamp can boost and adjust EQ. However if you play acoustic guitar, you should first try microphone with out pick up.
@@sbcling You are welcome. As for pickup for classical guitar, I would recommend K&K Pure Classic (kksound.com/products/pureclassic.php). And I like preamp I use (K&K Pure Preamp).
Pure Mini is already a great product itself and less products you connect, you get pure sound. But with this preamp, you can adjust the EQ as Pure Mini pickup sometimes has a lot of low end (bass).
The Pre-Amp works even better with the K&K Pure mini ...
Thanks for taking the time to do this video. It's the information I needed.
Thank you for watching. I am glad that you got some information through this video!

Yes this simple Preamp is very easy to use and light also has a great clear sound, too.
Thanks! Your guitar sounded so nice and clear with the Pure preamp! I'm going to buy one for my harp to use with my K&K Pure Piano pickup :-)
Thank you for your comment. Yes, Pure Preamp is very nice. I hope you will like it if you get it soon.

Thank you for your comments. Good luck for new installation of Pure Mini! I am sure that it will sound great.
Wonderful! Exactly what I needed to know😎
Thank you. I am glad that it is helpful!
Hiroya is one of the best guitarist around and his live concert sound is magnificent. Thanks for sharing your secret to great tone!
I appreciate your kind word!
Great articulation in your playing.
Thank you very much!
Great knowledge of harmony, too

Hi Ray, good to know that. If you have any question, anytime!
Thanks for the video. Very good sound.

Sounds wonderful, where do you put your preamp , on the floor or on your strap ?
Thank you. I usually put preamp next me on table or stool so that I can control during the performance.
But can I use it after a Dac, for example after a music player and first of a final amplifier?
Usually you connect this directly from your guitar.
Very helpful video; thanks.
Thank you Bob. Glad to hear that!
Great video!
Thank you very much!
You have the Tone!!!
Thank you very much!
Great review. Thanks.
Thank you so much!
Would this preamp be good for big backyard shows to perform with?
Yes, this would help you to gain more volume, so it would work depending on what kind of sound system you have.
how do you connect the preamp, it has xlr cable?, Thank you for your help
No it does not have XLR. You need quarter inch cable.
Besides the volume, does it really improve the sound?
Basically the main thing is the volume, but the company's concept is clean sound quality so even louder volume, the sound is very clean. And plus, there are EQ too.

hello! I play nylon guitar too. May I know which pickup are you using in the video? thanks a lot
Good to know that you play nylon string too. The pickup I installed is LR Baggs i-beam which is working fine, but I think there is a better one.
@@HiroyaTsukamotoMusic Thank you very much. I play classical guitar, could you suggest me which kind of pickup and preamp should I use?
@@sbcling You are welcome. As for pickup for classical guitar, I would recommend K&K Pure Classic (kksound.com/products/pureclassic.php). And I like preamp I use (K&K Pure Preamp).
