Congrats your dub made it. That is unironically the best performance of a dub speaker I have ever seen. The guy knows his job. Makes me wanna rewatch the show in italian.
What highlights the Italian dub in my opinion, is that the voice actor for Light (Flavio Aquilone) was just as young as the character was when he began dubbing the series. He perfectly captures the youthful, composed and model student appearance that Light shows off for most of the series, always natural and on point. When Light acts out as Kira, he also manages to capture the maniacal arrogance of Light's god complex, but this scene is where he truly peaks. Considering that this is where Light's entire image shatters, where he's finally been caught with no chance of escape, the way he breaks down is pure perfection, he starts out almost sobbing, and as he's doing that we don't see him on screen so it really let's you imagine that Light might actually be crying at the fact that his scheme fell apart, but then this crazed evil laugh erupts out of him right as he's on screen, as if he's finally lost it, but really he's just showing off what he had been keeping in for so long. For all this time Light was always laughing like this in his thoughts, or behind closed doors, because he couldn't let others see what he was truly like under the mask, but now there's no point, so he lets it all out, the laugh he had been keeping in as he believed that he had won before Near revealed how they got him. After finally exhausting himself from laughing he admits it, proving L was right. The original Japanese voice obviously delivers the perfect laugh already but out of all of these, the Italian voice is the only one that matches it beat for beat.
The Japanese was more realistic laughing, the English was more “It took them that long!?” And the Italian was “I’m gonna tear these people to pieces” And to anyone wondering why he’s laughing, this is genuinely hilarious if you think about it
kira himself was just a perfect character. This laugh was probably the biggest part of their careers with this character. Mad respect to the Italian and English one tho, those were scarily on point
Laughter in Italian is perfect because it fully represents the feelings that light feels in that moment anger, sadness put together, and at the same time he remains composed.
since I'm italian, i have watched it all in italian and I never saw the other versions, and seeing that everybody loves the italian version gives me some great italian pride

What highlights the Italian dub in my opinion, is that the voice actor for Light (Flavio Aquilone) was just as young as the character was when he began dubbing the series.
He perfectly captures the youthful, composed and model student appearance that Light shows off for most of the series, always natural and on point. When Light acts out as Kira, he also manages to capture the maniacal arrogance of Light's god complex, but this scene is where he truly peaks.
Considering that this is where Light's entire image shatters, where he's finally been caught with no chance of escape, the way he breaks down is pure perfection, he starts out almost sobbing, and as he's doing that we don't see him on screen so it really let's you imagine that Light might actually be crying at the fact that his scheme fell apart, but then this crazed evil laugh erupts out of him right as he's on screen, as if he's finally lost it, but really he's just showing off what he had been keeping in for so long.
For all this time Light was always laughing like this in his thoughts, or behind closed doors, because he couldn't let others see what he was truly like under the mask, but now there's no point, so he lets it all out, the laugh he had been keeping in as he believed that he had won before Near revealed how they got him.
After finally exhausting himself from laughing he admits it, proving L was right.
The original Japanese voice obviously delivers the perfect laugh already but out of all of these, the Italian voice is the only one that matches it beat for beat.
