People always screaming *don’t expect this* I’m convinced even folks that don’t do hair are yelling for them. Baby, we’ve heard it. We know. We are just trying to veg out rn
Exactly! You have to double and triple check on your stylist ability. I have been going to the same stylist almost 10 years and when she told me, she knew what she was doing to help me embrace my gray, I believed her. Sadly for me, she burnt off most of my hair. It turned yellow, not even blonde and it was falling out everywhere. I was mortified. I came within an inch of just telling her to shave it all off and I would try a wig for a year until it grew back, but I’ve been suffering with it for a year now trying to grow out after cutting off as much as I could tolerate. I wish I had this woman to do my hair! I would’ve paid big money to come out looking like that.
@@reginaflynn2622 I agree it would be nice to share what the upkeep is. However, damage is tricky. I have jet black hair and like to get fantasy colors in it. My stylist tells me each time that she wouldn't dare bleach me out as often as she does if my hair wasn't so resilient. Also depends on what products they are using during the process. So the amount of damage done isn't one size fits all.
@@countessk True, it really just depends on the person's hair, not to mention the ability of the stylist and their products; just the upgrade in products and skill completely changed everything for me. My old stylist charged me more and took hours lifting my hair to platinum using 20-30 vol and rarely we had time for fashion colours (ended up doing the rest at home myself) but when I switched, it now only takes up to 15 minutes (it helps I get a lot of heat to my head) to be light enough for pastels for retouching only using 10 vol so we have plenty of time to play with colour afterwards. I'm also told that she rarely does this but my hair is very light and extremely resilient, she often has to turn down most people who ask for something similar when it comes to lightening in this way.
As a former colourist, that was a slamming presentation and execution. Love that you left it light at the front, perfect frame for her face. YES it's true a quality job takes some time. A nice days worth of work!!!
I agree! Not to mention, it's so silly and obvious when someone dyes their grays! Just be comfortable and authentic in your own skin! Also, it makes women look WAYYYolder when they obviously dye their gray. It does the complete opposite of what they're trying to achieve
That is GORGEOUS 😍 I love the lightened part framing her face. I'm 32 and I started going gray the last few years, and I always told myself I didn't want to color my hair to cover it up because I've always loved gray hair. I'm now realizing just how annoying it can really be to have random streaks of gray in my natural dark hair, so this is definitely something to keep in mind for when the gray really starts taking over.
Hardest part is doing it in a timely manner and or with the right bleach formulas changing so as to not overlightrn or under lighten hair. This is work you could definitely use a few sets of hands for.

It looks WONDERFUL!! I, on the other hand, just let the grow out happen for a month and cut off 16” of colored hair into a pixie cut! Which only took 40mins. Yay!!!! Now my dry time is 7mins (as apposed to 20min free dry, 15 min ceramic brush dry and 20 min straight hot-iron) and I have this really cool dark tip, that keeps me looking kinda fun!
