Hi, do you know how to disable ink monitoring on the canon pro 6000 ? I’ve fitted ciss as the sub ink tank on mk was leaking into the catch tray using crazy amounts of expensive ink in a day.. the sub ink tanks are around 800 each parts alone so I’ve bypassed them, I’m getting insufficient ink coming up and saying all cartridges are X so I need to turn the ink monitor off on the printer, any ideas please ?
For the Pro 300, there are 2 different warnings with the red circle. First is the support code 1600. Pressing the Stop button now doesn't do anything. But a good time to refill to insure the tank does not run out. .Continue printing into the printer won't print and a support code 1699 is displayed. Now press the Stop button for 5 seconds and the channel will be disabled. Hope this clarifies when to disable.
Thanks for the information. But just My luck, holding the cancel button down does absolutely nothing. Nothing at all. Three cartridges still show needing to be replaced.
I tried everything but my Canon pro 1000 is still sayong that I can't print because two of my cartbridges are empty. I tried to push the stop button 3, 5, 7, 10, 20 40seconds, on multiple times, reboot the printer again and again. Remove the cartbridge trying to do it without the cartbridge inside but no help neither. I'm stuck, maybe because of my firmware? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you
@@cheo1949 Yes, OEM chip. I just have the first two empty cartbridges, should I maybe first refill them because they check the weight? I'm very unsure of why? I'm in Europe.

Ok. We are talking about the PRO1000 Here. First you must a chip that has been declared empty. You will see a RED X on your printer screen. You remove the cart and refill it to full. You will be warned that you may run out of ink. Continue printing. It will take very long time until the printer decides you've squeezed every drop of ink out of your cart and it will stop printing. Of course though, you have refilled It. It will now display a 1753 error. Now you press the stop bottom for 5 seconds and you will see "Processing" on the printer screen. Your chip is now disabled. You are now on your own as far as Ink Monitoring. By the way it is not my system. I do not sell anything. I just recently demonstrated the chip disabling process. Have look a few videos ago.
Joe. I have an extended question per our conversation, I have ran out of INK (error code 1752). If I replace the ink for that Cartridge using the PC inks I purchased, will it resume printing? The 5 second button hold trick is not working. Something tells me I would need to reset the chip or buy a new cartridge before filling it up?
Well....you either have no BK ink or the channel is clogged. Have you run a nozzle check? That would immediately show you what channel is not printing and which one are printing. Assuming your cartridges are delivering ink correctly I would run a cleaning cycle and then a nozzle check.
@@cheo1949 I did run a nozzle check, and it didn't show the Bk color. But after running a cleaning cycle, I run a nozzle check again and the Bk color showed up. The problem is, when I start printing the Bk color disappears as I'm printing. I mean like it shows up on the paper but slowly starts to disappear. I'm so thankful for your help, And let me know if you need me to show you the nozzle check results so you can see the issue yourself 🙇♀️🌸
Each Printer uses a different CISS unit so there is no universal way. Look up videos on youtube and maybe find one for the model you did not tell me about.
What's with Canon? I had to look everywhere for Canon CLI-42 ink for the Pro 100, and finally got the last complete pack that Amazon had in stock. B&H has had them on back order for about two weeks. I use only OEM ink.
Remember that the PRO100 is no longer being produced. And the pandemic put the screws to all productions of electronics and even inks. At some point you will likely stop seeing any more OEM carts for this printer as CANON begins to push the PRO200.

The only sensors I need are my eyes, which can see that the printout is imperfect, and it is therefore time to fill the ink cartridge.
Just so happens I'll be refilling today 😅
