Our route led us through Vadodara, Rajkot, Junagarh, and finally, the sacred destination of Somnath. Along the way, we indulged in a mouthwatering Kathiyawadi lunch, savoring the flavors of the region.
One of the highlights of our journey was the opportunity to sample a variety of regional fruits, adding a delightful touch to our travel experience.
Our adventure concluded at the serene Sarovar Porico Somnath, where we basked in the tranquility and beauty of this sacred site.

The weather during the day was hot like it is in Hyderabad. Nights were cooler then Hyderabad.....The night was very pleasant...Vadodara hotel was around 4200 for the night.....Started from vadodara at around 9;30 and reached at around 4;30 pm to Somnath.....

I am planning a roadtrip to Darjeeling from vadodara with my family…
Kindly suggest me best and safe route to travel from Vadodara to Darjeeling with family
Darjaleeng is beautiful... But unfortunatley i have not done this route.... I have gone to Vadorara and on a separate trip i have gone to Darjaleeng... but i have never gone from Vadodara to Darjeeling....I always follow Google Maps and you can do the same....i did a quick chekc on google and it shows the route as Vadodara-Ratlam- Lucknow- Arrah- Darbhanga- kishanganj-Siliguri-Darjaleeng....this seems Ok i have covered the section from Arrah- Darjaleeng...The route seems same but my strict advise is not to do night driving and drive during daylight. Also take good hotels at big cities on your route. For ex; Lucknow, Patna, Siliguri etc...

If that route is good than i can plan accordingly via indore jabalpur Varanasi arrah siliguri…
that is mostly good except the strech from Araria to Siliguri.....that strech double laning work is happening so there speed will be less and road is not good....I traveled early morning in that section so i did not face any issues but i can imagine that during the day/ peak times that strech will be difficult
Also forgot to mention route from Siliguri to Darjeeling is narrow and curvy...if you have confidence with your car then should be ok...you can watch the video where I traveled from Siliguri to Darjeeling for refence....link is here
