@@Yeitsjames The whole point of Skull Island is that it has 100s of thousands of different kind of creatures not just a set few creatures you recognize the Skullcrawler is a returning monster from the last 2 films but these new ones are good to show too as it does expand and show what else is on the island that we didn't get to see in some of the Monsterverse comics and the Kong Skull Island movie.

I mean there was also Kong the animated series, but yeah this looks more savage like Godzilla the series with a more badass monster protagonist

The show really reminds me of Voltron and Legend of Korra based on the art style it looks really action packed, hope it's a fun show
coincidentally, Mae Whitman (Katara) voices a character on the show
If the art style can remind these two shows (same for the upcoming "Ark The Animated Series", also very promissing as this one about Kong), the animation in question is arguably very differents.
On the others two, the animation and movements of the characters were permanently pretty fluid, smooth and quick.
Here, like for "Ark The Animated Series" too, it's more simple, brutal, direct, encrypted and simple, and even something what we can call a little cheap in some extents.
In fact, here, we are/this show is more closer in this aspect like "Invincible" (2021) Tv show from Prime Video than the two you mentionned.
And since animation is dominant above the artstyle, which the latter thend to be pretty generic in such series like that since the beggining of the 2010....
But still, even if the animation in question like that can disturb some people, that will absolutely cut anything good about what this Skull Island TV Show will be !
After all, if Invincible itself manage to be such a masterpiece praised by everyone else despite having this kind of animation, so it's sure that will not be an obstacle of any sort for Skull Island to be an enjoyable show by any mean !

Really, for me, maybe Skull Island will not be maybe extraordinary (after all, that still a Monsterverse production, which turn completely around monsters destroying things and fighting each others with a simple overall basic plot), but still enough fun and enjoyable to pass our time in front of it and as the additionnal spin-off and wordbuilding series it want to be !
Could do without a half Baked workeness.. That's exactly what hurt Korra and Voltron.. The moment I heard are all boys as useless as you Is Huge Warning sign... The whole message of Men have to be put down To elevate women... I missed How The riders and the 90's and Early 2000's Prioritize giving the audience well characters And the audience would enjoy it regardless of what gender The characters are.
Also, unrelated, but about the similarities between this and LoK, if they include some LGBT characters in this show, I hope that at the opposite of LoK, justly, in Skull Island, they will go for it completely at the very beginning and not hide their LGBT element/side.
Or turn some of them as LGBT character if the characters in question weren't created as such when created at the behind the scenes.
Really two thing to not do if societies want to made LGBT representation in a production (especially when it's truly with the true will to made some and not being forced/woke to pretend to be at their side or to made free publicity).
It's always preferable to know and reveal directly at the very start the LGBT side of a character rather to not show it until very far in a story, way after that numerous people have impregnate themselves on a character.
Already, I wouldn't be surprise that the Girl characters, with her big monster dog, the two boys encounter is LGBT is a way or another.
For everyone, it's preferable to expect that already know today as I write these lines.
If she end up being indeed LGBT, so no surprise and we will accept her as she is.
If she end up being not LGBT, so okay, nothing special to say, but nothing wrong or bad either.
Which still something good in itself.
Whatever, I hope just that this Skull Island series, if going in such direction/take to do such stuff like that, will be like "Ark The Animated Series", which itself already only by it's own trailer show that the LGBT stuff it will have wil be very good and not disturbing in any way possible.
Because if doing LGBT representation, of a such sensible subject, is badly made, that can cut and annihilate most see all the fun and comfort of a entire production itself.
Because when Nickelodeon have undergo this path and start such thing for Avatar franchise at the end of LoK (litterally the lastest seconds of it!), that not only killed the show itself with a stunnishing and huge deserved polemic/controversy, annihilating all the works and efforts to be appreciated by ATLA fans overtime since it's first season, but also start the descend to hell of the ATLA franchise as a whole in all the derived product that came after.
So, yeah, I hope the poeple behind Skull Island will made things simple and good if they decide such things.

I’d give it a shot I’ve been waiting for a King Kong cartoon since I was a kid hopefully that’s just a one time moment of stupidity though it’ll be a definite pass if there’s more of that shit in the first episode I want to see Kong and more giant monsters and the lore of skull island not modern day progressive bullshit disguised as a Kong cartoon

I’m not surprised, this supposedly takes place in the 1990s, Kong would be getting older and his roar deepens and changes with age. Still a cool feature and attention to detail never the less.

The idea of the series is to better introduce us to the fauna and flora of Skull Island and not necessarily Kong, but that's not a problem.
If for 90 % of time they will try to survive against island fauna like all those small monsters we saw the king is not necessary for most of the time.

In January 2021, it was announced that a continuation of the MonsterVerse in the form of an anime television series was in development. Brian Duffield was hired to serve as writer, creator, executive producer, director, and showrunner for the show; while Jacob Robinson would also serve as an executive producer. The project was announced to be a joint-venture production between Legendary Television, Powerhouse Animation, and Tractor Pants Productions; and was produced with intent to release exclusively to Netflix.

I want to err with an air of caution,the theme and feel of this trailer is similar with the first trailer for the He-Man Revelations series and then that turned into a show that had 7% He-Man whilst completely focusing on another character.
This looks like it’s going to focus on those three kids with extra attention on the girl(due to the current social climate) and we will get 7% Kong fighting or saving them at times

Assuming this is in-continuity with the rest of the Monsterverse, then between this series, the Skull Island movie and the two tie-in comics, it's just amazing how many times people in this world have thought that going to the monster-infested death island is a good idea.

I think OP is picturing something more like the end of Kong Skull Island where they see the cave paintings and then Godzilla's roar plays in case you didn't notice.

No, Camazotz will be the main villain. Events takу place in 2021, Kong first met Godzilla in 2024.

I think this show is set in the 90s before Skull Island the Birth of Kong (when Aaron Brooks and Monarch returned to Skull Island) so Camazotz has not been awakened by Ghidorah yet or traveled back to Skull Island yet

Seeing this trailer got me thinking, who or what is the next villain of skull island besides skull crawlers.
I understand it now, the title of the show does reflect what it is about: we are indeed exploring the island and its many creatures and Kong is not necesarily the center of focus, so it feeling as though Kong would be completely unrelated to the human characters and their journey is a part of it.

Television, President of ABC and Vice President of Netflix Originals Channing Dungey stated that an animated television series based on MonsterVerse was in development, after De Luca and Dungey decided not to allow any more adaptations of the series following MonsterVerse films of Godzilla vs. Kong. De Luca had asked to Frank Gabriel, Brad Graeber and Bruce Tinnin, people from Powerhouse Animation Studios to involve with the animated series Skull Island. Although Warner Bros. still owns the MonsterVerse franchise with the titles and rights to the names alongside with Legendary Entertainment, the project was confirmed to be still in development exclusively for streaming on Netflix.
What caught my interest is this show is going to show us more fauna on Skull Island after I read a comments somewhere that MV Skull Island is "lacking" compared to Peter Jackson version
