    Bro I have been waiting and waiting for you to partner with Power Planter. Watching you use the Ryobi was painful. I received my drill and auger a year ago and they changed planting for me. Even my husband agreed and now we have a Ketchup (Milwaukee - husband used) & Mustard (Dewalt - I use) rivalry in our home. The augers and drill are a game changer. Enjoy them.

    Hi Robbie! I'm so happy for you that you received those Power Planter augers, the DeWalt Drill and extra battery from Power Planter. I could see how happy you were using them to plant the salvia's. That was so sweet of Heidi from Garden Crossings to send you all of those plants. I'm looking forward to seeing where you plant them, along with the other plants you have to plant. I love your amaranth! Thank you so much for sharing!

    Yesss! I bought Power Planter augers and drill after Janey’s video! My husband made a little mistake and said “mehhh you don’t need an auger, they aren’t gonna dig post holes .” I HAVE ROCK HARD CLAY SOIL. I’m trying to change my life here, lol. We needed post holes, I’m planting trees, etc etc. I’m a researcher by nature and I like a deal, so of course I bought a package and got the big daddy drill, and I think all the same augers you did. The jealousy on his face when my husband saw my drill was priceless 😂😂😂. We use these all the time and the amount of time and exertion we have saved it worth every single penny and then some. I’ve had it probably 6 months and have had no issues. Just make sure you tighten them really well and I recommend in the beginning checking them to make sure they don’t loosen up as you drill (my ground is really hard though, so you might not have that problem). Anyways, Power Planter for the win 🎉🎉🎉🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

    When you first plant perenniels, you should still water them in with the hose after you first plant them. Relying on the drip to water it right after planting can make them struggle.

    Love watching Heidi on Garden Crossing. Bought a El Niño Chitalpa thru her. Couldn't find any local greenhouses carrying it. Love it. I start my am with coffee then Garden Answer, then you and then Janey. I love my augers. I had to get a 20v Dewalt but may plunge for the 60v

  • @marciar8909

    The drill is the biggest gift of all! I have put off buying a power planter auger for so long because the drill was so expensive! I finally sold a kidney and bought the 7 inch and the Dewalt 60 V drill. It’s not super light, but it does make quick work of everything. PS Wear pants when you use it, dirt goes everywhere. 😂

    Wow! Christmas came early! You can plant to your heart's content now. Is there a type of rack you can purchase from Power Planter to store the augers? I would be thrilled to have the small one for planting bulbs - age and bad knees do not help when I plant bulbs. I don't let that deter me, but gardening would be a bit easier.

    I know you love the amaranths...and as amaranths go, they are certainly pretty... but that fence area with the espalier apple trees next to the amaranths is like a English gardener next to a ‘60s era San Francisco hippie ...both beautiful in the way they express themselves... but would be prettier in their own context and not next to each other ..but hey Robbie, that‘s just me and my personal taste (and age😉) as you probably guessed....so...You do darling you, Robbie..I will aiways support your choices and wait to see the outcome xx

    Hello from Rio Vista, CA. I am so exciting for you, the right tools make a job so much better. I so enjoy your style of sharing, don't change a thing, just be you. I watch you and Janey daily, if not in the morning while I do my balance exercises in the afternoon after I have completed some of my chores. Question, what was the taller plant that was near the last plant you planted, it is the bright reddish/fuchsiaish color, don't remember you showing us that one, I love it? 🤫

    Why do you add the biotone on top of the plant instead of putting it in the hole you made for the plant. I thought it would be better placed closer to the roots of the plant to work faster. I’m I wrong?

Had a question about the amaranth - I planted the love lies bleeding and it did great in the spring until early summer and then died 🤷‍♀️ I’m guessing it is because I live in Texas and the summers are brutal here? Zone 8b any suggestions? And the amaranth was in part shade hooked up to drip but didn’t make it

    • @sheilastromberger2275

      You would need to remove any landscape fabric otherwise it’s just going to twist up in the auger.

    • @sydneykasmar
      @sydneykasmar 2 дня назад +2

      Most gardeners I've seen clear the soil away from the landscape fabric and cut a big X through the fabric. They move the flaps that form by cutting the X and drill in the centre of the space. You can then put the fabric back in place and cover with soil.
