On the first night, we show how Cindy bakes a pizza while boondocking at a Harvest Host. On the third night, we stay at the South of the Border. Here, we check out their new section of campsites. Finally, it's off to Charleston and the very popular James Island County Park. Rich provides a full campground review before we hang out with some fellow Airstreaming RUclipsrs.

    We too carry a smaller SOLO stove along with a tripod designed by SOLO and a little larger grilling tripod for roasting over an open flame. Love cooking outside and wrapping up with S’Mores.

    I really enjoy your campground reviews! My wife giggled when you panned down to your Solostove. I told her that wasn’t polite! 😅. We have a bunch more of your videos to catch up on since I’m not allowed to watch them when we’re apart (travel to support aging parents). Nice to see Airstreamers. We follow them also. Thank you!

    Interesting to see something new at South of the Border, which has been in decline for years ... growing up, that place was a legendary hotspot on the East Coast (firecrackers!) ... we never made it there, but friends would come back, loaded with explosives ... Our first sewer hose liberated itself on some highway in Georgia, a few years back ...

    ❤ I love your videos on Tuesdays. The solo stove seems a bit small, can you feel any heat or is it just for ambiance?? James Island County park seems nice, thanks for sharing. 😊

      We pulled our 20’ Imagine to Florida the last week of February through March. Hit the panhandle then went to Tampa. Decent weather down there. Came back to this crappy weather up here and wish we would’ve stayed longer. Got lucky with the drive though, because it snowed two days after we got back to Tawas area. Had time to winterize it again prior to the cold etc. Note: We took I-65 down instead of I-75 and it’s not as mountainous and steep.

      @@chrisswart6247 Thanks for watching! Yes, we head down to Georgia to pick up our Airstream in a few days. It'll be a short trip as we'll be back by the end of April so hopefully we won't have to winterize again.

    I'm a little confused with you talking about sometimes needing a water pressure reducer on your Airstream. I have a 2005 Classic and have been told the inlet on the Airstreams have a built in pressure reducer as part of the inlet valve? I know your AS is a few years older than mine, but yours did not come with one? Happy trails!

    • @LuvSubbin
      @LuvSubbin  4 месяца назад

      Thanks for watching! Our Airstream is a 2002 and does have an internal pressure reducer set to 65 psi. The reducer is to primarily to protect the components prior to going into the Airstream. There was a State Park in Georgia (and one in Texas and one in Alabama) where the water pressure was far in excess of 100 psi. It stretched my water hose so bad that it was ruined and had to be thrown out.

      @@LuvSubbin Oh, makes sense now. Wife and I are retired and like to travel in our AS too. We both will be hosting at a campground just south of Yellowstone this summer.
