Very kind of you! Much appreciated!! Hoping to continue to grow over time. Been grinding for about 9 months now but it's definitely a slow burn to get a following. Little by little though.
@@OfficialChaseBrogan I’ve been looking into retro gaming consoles for about a week. I’ve probably spent hours on RUclips looking into it and I just now found your channel. Hang in there. You’ll pick up subscribers slowly but surely, I’m sure.
it is AMAZING what this little pc can do without a dedicated GPU I think I need to get the M93p I have had the M72 and it worked it decent for my brother and his family this paired with Batocera is gonna be awesome! Great review as always you and Retro Corps are becoming 2 of my go to for emulation nowadays. Also check out the HP elitedesk G1 and up they have a few mini pcs around this price with gen 4,5,6 i5/i7
i bought ASUS eb1033 over year on eBay year ago i didn't come with no ram hard drive power plug one you seems better on Wii games i am thinking buy one sometime
Nice video, but why do you ignore the display port between power and USB on the back? A Displayport to HDMI cable is much cheaper than your VGA converter, the video output is much better, and it has audio, just like HDMI. - Sorry dude, I don't understand why you take such a complicated and worse path when it is not necessary.
Good point! I totally overlooked it because mine had an issue where it wouldn’t work with either audio or video signals. I hadn’t been using it entirely for that reason to the point where I totally forgot it was even on there.
Loving this 😍! Can you share the specs your machine is running this on? Can you also do the same with batocera? I have the m93p and wondering if you can help solve adding or setting up the backends? (Dx11, Vulcan etc?)
I will be doing a lot of batocera tutorials soon. By next week I should have a few out. This is using batocera in the video for these games. Below will show you the specs on this PC. It's great for up to Gamecube. If you want xbox, ps2, ps3, and better play on wii and gamecube I'd recommend upgrading to a more powerful computer.
Just to note, it looks like this PC is using a 3rd gen Intel CPU, which means there will be IGPU drivers for Windows XP, and thus this mini pc will be great also for retro XP gaming for early 2000s XP 3D games.
Quite a few other ytbers have done vids on this. I think you know who namely… rhymes with CBA Dime lol (Dunno if it was OK to mention his actual channel name or not 😁). I run a similar model. I use DP to hdmi cable. Works great. I boot Batocera off a flash drive and have a 2TB external HDD for roms. I did think of actually installing the whole thing on the internal HDD and that was my plan but its actually handy for me keeping windows installed on it, incase I need a spare PC. But right now its just set up as my retro emulation console. As another comment here said Im also suprised at how well it runs many PS2.games. Can also run a lot of gamecube games. And, some 3DS, xbox and Wii even. Originally I just wanted a device that played the systems my PS Classic and the android boxes struggle with, namely N64,Dreamcast, PSP and Saturn. Which the Lenovo plays great, and even upscaled, so on a 24" monitor any system upscaled to anything a minimum of 2x and up looks fantastic. The fact I can play GC, some 3DS, PS2,xbox and Wii is just a bonus for me. Glad I went the Tiny PC route over android box. Its just great.
Absolutely! Yeah no problem with that at all! ETA Prime does amazing videos and I have nothing but respect for his amazing content. He does a lot of great videos on many PCs. I saw he did one similar to this one I think he had the small Optiplex if I'm not mistaken. Basically exactly the same as this PC but different brand. May have done this exact one too. I haven't watched all of his videos. Great content and an incredibly knowledgeable guy. This definitely has tremendous potential and for the price its a slamdunk!
Just to follow up: The Lenovo Tiny PC range (and other similar brand PCs) also look great for emulation too. 😁 I have mine in vertical stand so looks like a console too. ☺️👍 I use a Philips 24" monitor that has built in speaker, it works OK but theres no bass at all so I just bought some el cheapo kmart 3w speakers and hooked that up. Sounds much better. I bought a knock of wired xbox360 style controller which is fine for a spare (or player 2 😁) but for me I use an 8bit do wireless adapter with a Sony PS4 controller. (Urban camo color 😁)
My mom got me a sega Saturn from K mart when I was in 8th grade. I had die hard virtual cop and I think some game with a weird ass looking purple guy in Michael Jackson looking attire with a court jester hat 😏 it was the 90’s 🤷🏾♂️
Hi, Love your videos. I have the same exact model. It works great except for the life of me I cannot get any Wii U roms to work using V39 of Batocera. Do you have any tips at all? Thanks!
Hey thanks! I think I have a video tutorial on Wii U but it's not v39 specific it's from a couple versions before. I don't think I've set up Wii I on v39 ever so not too sure there.
@@OfficialChaseBrogan Thanks for getting back. I've tried using .rpx files and .wua files. It doesn't get past loading in Opengl. And Vulkan just crashes. But I'm obsessed with trying to get it working.
Yes batocera. I had an issue with my display port on this one I should have clarified that. I use the display port to hdmi cables though on other older PCs. I think a thinkcentre m73 I did a video on which k use the display port to hdmi cable for and it's perfect.
That would be much better as Displayport will send audio so no need for a cable from the headphone socket. Not to mention VGA out would mean a digital->analogue->digital conversion.
I really couldn't recommend a mini pc right now as I'm just not well versed enough to properly advise. I'm going to start diving more into mini pcs very soon though. I have 2 on their way for testing which I'll do videos for but as of right now I couldn't give you a valid response on that. My apologies.
Nice video. I have a m93p tiny i want to put into a bartop cabinet. Not sure what to do about the external power button. Ive bought a jst xh extension cable for the power button but i dont know if its the right connector. Couldn't find any diagram to rewire either. Anyway got a clue?
I set up a batocera image onto a ssd but you can do it onto a hard drive then install either inside the pc. If you removing the current hard drive or ssd you don't even have to alter your bios.
So much information for free this guy provides idk why he doesn't have more subs. Definitely my go to guy for gaming knowledge. 👏

It has display port right on the back. No need for HDMI, or if your TV or monitor doesn't have it use a display port to HDMI adapter.....

Haha! The 90s were certainly interesting at times! Die Hard was definitely my favorite game on there and in the arcade. Virtual Cop is a classic too!
I guess you could use a Displayport to HDMI cable with both audio and video, right?
Yep that's correct
Do you think this would be powerful enough to use as a dedicated virtual pinball setup, like VPX on Batocera 39
Display port is better than HDmi anyway, should have went display port to HDmi converter
