I just finished Thunderclap a few days ago, and loved it! Different (brush) strokes for different folks I suppose! Glad you did find some enjoyable books this month though. Hopefully May will be better. Best Wishes 💕
I haven't read the outrun, but read the instant when it was listed for the wainwright prize. I didn't like it and i think it's because i felt the nature writing was an after thought. Would say the writing was beautiful though. Will need to read the outrun before the movie
Actually, your outfit is giving me Kate Copstick off Playschool vibes (best telly programme ever, according to my 5-year-old self). Kate was my favourite presenter, so I think your outfit rocks to be honest!
I don't know what it is about this year but I'm having a tough time too with my reading, just not loving anything I pick up! And Ariel from books unbound podcast is also struggling to enjoy much this year too. I wanted to recommend a book for you though that I would be surprised if you didn't love it: it's the second in the Anne of green gables series. There are two new characters especially that make it wonderful. I think it's a safe bet for an enjoyable read.
Hi Lauren you look fab. I listened to the Maiden and agree with you, l liked it the narration was really good the writing was good but…. It didn’t completely deliver. I haven’t read as much this year as cannot find a book that I love. At least I’ve got My Cousin Rachel to look forward to this month. Happy Sunday to you and David 💕
the last couple of years of the womens prize for fiction has been a bit meh. I used to find so many faves in the longlist, but I haven't enjoyed anything recently
I absolutely adore you. Please, never stop making these videos. You provide so much joy to your viewers.
Hold me closer, tiny reader ❤
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Butter and Outrun sounds super exciting to me.
I'll listen to them ASAP.
Reach for the Stars was a rare non-fiction treat for me too. So much nostalgia and plenty of RUclips clips from the past watched here too!

Your love of Reach for the Stars made me just order it as a surprise gift for my friend who will adore this!
I'm really looking forward to reading Butter. Can't wait to hear your final thoughts on it ☺
Loved Frida
Klein. Hated other Nicci French including this. Couldn’t wait for it to end

I hope you enjoy My Cousin Rachel. It's my favourite book of the year so far.
Intrigued by the Keir Starmer inspiring Mark Darcy. Is that true or just an urban myth?
Helen says she was running in circles with him in her 20s and can see the likeness!

I wasn’t interested in ANY of the books!
