People say diesel sucks but u have almost the same hp but you can drive the diesel with 6-8l in 100 km in eco. The petrol engin will use 8-12 l. And when u drive fast u cant get the diesel above 13-14l while the petrol engin can easy go to 20l in 100 km. But you almost get the same result.
All true but you have to add the cost of maintaining stupid ecology: DPF and AdBlue system. Once that starts giving you problems you're basically toast on a modern car.
Может быть, но стейдж в Германии например мало кто делает, ведь тогда лучьше сразу брать 550i. А вот обслуживание, страховка и бензин в Германии одно из самых дорогих поэтому и 540i на дорогах встречабтся очень редко
Двигатель Б58 выдерживает почти 700 сил. Это показатель большой надёжности. А Б57 пока не известно несколько лучше Н57, который для меня худший из дизелей БМВ , особенно 40Д 313 сил, и 50Д 2011-2013 года 381 силы
Б57 один из лучших в мире дизелей 3л, что значит пока? Они ставились на ф кузов еще, сейчас этому движку лет 7 уже, и зарекомендовал он себя крайне положительное
@@legioner9 540i is way lighter than the 540d xdrive, they should be pretty similar in adigg as u said, and in rolling the 540i will gonna destroy it, u know the gasoline is way quicker than a diesel with similar power after 100km.h cuz it has better gear ratio, the 540d would be in 4th gear, while the 540i in the 3th gear. Diesel engines sucks, they are heavier, less powerfull, they sound bad, less reliable and they are more expensive than the petrol engine s alternative, the consumption is the only advanatage for a diesel engine, and mb the tq. but it doesnt help much i guess looking to the performace..
@@cazantrabant519 You are wrong about the first part: after 100 km/h, the turbodiesel is faster than a n/a engine with similar power for example; against a turbo petrol I'm not sure. In this case at least, it was slower. Of the line, the petrol engine is quicker, regardless if n/a or turbo (with similar power with the diesel ofc). The 540d is heavier by 160 kg, and geared differently, that's why it is a bit slower, it definetly isn't destroyed by the 540i - it's just a bit slower. The 3 liter turbodiesel engine is a monster anyway. Put 2 more adults in the 540i and it will be destroyed.

Put the m340d and the m340i together and see what happen. The diesel cant be , the gearing cant be as same as the petrol engine. nvm,the petrol engine sound way better and its quicker stock vs stock, i guess u dont want to talk about the tuning potential🤣

540i цена, обслуживание и скорость самое оптимальное соотношение. Stage2 3.7-3.9 sec до 100км! Что еще надо.

Sold my 540i it was too fast. Bought a 530d XDrive and after a smart remap it’s even quicker than the first one..! Silly me.!

You dont know what 540i is , a small remap and a downpipe and u got 500hp, throw a bigger turbo and bam 700hp

У знакомого 340d на гибридах (600л.с. +-) ездит не первый год, даже на гонки приезжал в быково. Валит пипец как и расход детский.
