genuinely, julia is incredibly talented at learning new techniques. the bit of her throwing everyone off by suddenly introducing a new medium of art into speed draws is hysterical, but it's also a testament to how dedicated she is to her craft. she didn't HAVE to learn blender for an anime video, she didn't HAVE to make a real claymation-style figurine for a mario redraw, but she DID. and it's all because she thought it would be a fun thing to try / a good practice run for future endeavors.
Karina's cackling when the video of Julia sculpting Luigi starts is absolutely hilarious. Maybe my favorite reaction anyone has had to someone popping off on this channel.
Also Karina’s evolution from “I have to hold you a little accountable” in Refusing The Pose to “I support Julia being on her bullshit” in Sheet Ghost Model House was very satisfying
it is cannon that julia taking the “i must turn every character art challenge into a background challenge (w/character)” bit to its logical extreme is the exact reason why the schedule change was possible
The synchronized "PISS!" at 54:02 always gets me. Especially when followed by the sound of disappointment in their voices when Julia finishes the word. It's just such a funny, quick clip.
The foreshadowing for the episode where they redraw the Rembrandt painting in their own styles and with their chosen characters was very cool and obviously very unintentional. Loved both the pose episode and the redraw episode.
The Julia Blender part is great for more than just shock value and skill, but because Julia knows that a characters environment can say so much about them as well, more so than their appearance. It shows habits, good and bad, it shows their hidden likes and dislikes, and adds dimension to them. She met the brief for that one more completely than the others, IMO
Of course Julia gets her own whole episode lol. It's well deserved though, she does not know how to chill which leads to some of the greatest pop offs of all time
What I expected: Julia getting a "popping off" video to herself What I did not expect (but should have): Julia's "popping off" video being three times the length of the first one
I think it's kinda funny that Julia's reflection drawing at 1:08:00 Has the words *rotate* instead of flipped, so the reflection is wrong anyway...and nobody catches it.
Watching Julia’s sculpting Luigi again makes me want a video of them all sculpting something together. Like, one element per person. 2 clay people, a background, furniture, stuff like that. I just want to see what they would make as a full group… Group Project!
OMG, 94 minutes??? That's a lotta work, my guy! Also, I love to see 38:08 again, that was the first Drawfee vid I saw, and I subbed instantly after that one. I was spoiled by the fully-human-Julia-avatar, and then was distressed going back to previous years' episodes LOL
If you ever make a part two of this, may I suggest Julia's entry from the Castlevania in different styles ep? (where she spends 45 minutes on her piece, does a beautiful painting, and then covers half of it up)
I'm now imagining that that was how the grand opening of the first British Dairy Queen. They just see an antique car crash through the wall and out of the car (which is covered in goats blood for some reason) steps alucard in the best burger king outfit he could scrounge together from his closet, and he just nonchalant walks up and orders a strawberry dipped cone.
If you ever plan on doing more "Pop Off" comps, can I nominate Nathan's Ganondorf piece (the one Karina said "I'd put that in my mouth," to)? Also, idk if you can do this, but maybe you can include Jacob's new song (maybe just a snippet?) _125%_ because it heckin' ROCKS.
While Julia does consider this a failure, I do think she popped off- seeing her work really hard on something so complex even if she didn’t like the end result is inspiring to me the same way her Blender and Luigi are.

It's amazing that Julia is the same artist who pops off regularly while also being the artist that can't draw any character from memory.
It's called "duality of man", but in this case it the duality of a new yoker
Its extremely relatable 😂
Her from memory drawings turn her art education into dust. And why that is? Scientists still don’t know
It's the law of equivalent exchange
It's just a bit. There's no way she doesn't do that intentionally.
Julia just likes to remind the audience that she's a professional every now and then

For a while there, I was so sure Julia was going to cover her beautifully drawn house with a sheet, and call it a Haunted House
i better see karinas momma sunny in the next one, terrifing pop off but a pop off for sure
It's absolutely going to be included, don't you worry.
(All hail Sonny and his flock of Sonnylings)
it is cannon that julia taking the “i must turn every character art challenge into a background challenge (w/character)” bit to its logical extreme is the exact reason why the schedule change was possible
you are so right the entirety of drawtectives is just julia popping the hell off
4:40 past Nathan guess what! You use blender too :)

Room Full of Vampires is my favorite drawfee character ngl
"we'll do a Karina sculpt episode" yeah you will,, and it is HORRIFIC (and wonderful)

23:47 "what in the world is she doing" classic julia stuff as always
karinas hysterical laughter when she realized julia was sculpting luigi gets me every time💀💀💀

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice that immediately.

what i love about this video is that it's 54mins +60 secs longer than the other one roughly.

Julia is that one person who's silly and goofy all the time, but when she gets serious, she GETS SERIOUS
I've watched the Blender bit more than I care to admit over the past few years and it never fails to bring me SO much joy.
now we need a Julia characters from memory compilation to show her true range
An hour and a half of Julia pop offs?!
Girl is an overachiever and workaholic, it was bound to happen. It took so much editing to cut it down to just this tbh.
"Juliaaaa is this NINETY MINUTES??"
There’s so much foreshadowing here- Karina sculpting, Nathan learning Blender.
(This is a joke lol I don’t mean to treat Drawfee like characters.)
OMG, 94 minutes??? That's a lotta work, my guy!

Disappointed not to see Julia's initial Sonic OC in here :-p
19:12 and then she did, like 3 times if I’m counting correctly
You popped off with this Julia pop off comp!
julia lepetit more like julia popov
hello dropout crowd . remember snilk ?
Snilk was a glorious moment that everyone should remember periodically.
Is this an Ivanna Popov reference? From Mentopolis? If so, well done.
@ yes it is :3
Julia lives in the piss realm thank you for giving us this vision
The inclusion of the 'you cheated' pose one is unexpected but not unwelcome.
What about the one where she makes a gorgeous incrediblly intricate illustration only to "burn" the majority of it
And it was shown to Spencer Wan who was the animation director for the Castlevania animated series 😭😭😭
ik he's a guest but Spencer making an owl house style animation for that ep could be like an honorable mention
I *completely* forgot about that 😅
I'll probably put it in the next one as an added note though. The world deserves to know.
@@transjeffdr good idea, noted 📝
1:06:12
julia: his meat knife :)
also julia: *is drawing a bread knife*
Listening to Julia at 8:30-ish is like listening to a play-by-play
I did edit out some of the tangents and stammering in the original, so there is that.
@@SHIFT-Edits13 Ah. Good job on that! I didn't notice at all
I try to keep it lowkey :]
If you ever make a part two of this, may I suggest Julia's entry from the Castlevania in different styles ep? (where she spends 45 minutes on her piece, does a beautiful painting, and then covers half of it up)
This is my dream, only Julia
I’m a bit shocked that we didn’t have Julia’s “Midwest Americana diner + Midwest Americana church” in this video
I must have missed that one, do you know what video it was from?
@ Background Drawing CHALLENGE
Thx!
I'll probably include it in a remaster/updated version at some point, after Julia inevitably does other iconic things that warrant it.
33:48 if you write this joke out it _really_ changes-
God I love Julia’s Hellsing Ultimate Dracula cosplaying Burger King
Interesting day at the British comic con for everybody
It’s just Alucard dressed vaguely like Burger King
He’s *gonna* get into your ketchup
I'm now imagining that that was how the grand opening of the first British Dairy Queen. 20:50 Karina's Bowser ... would
YESS THE ANTICIPATED
I like how a recurring theme in this is "fuck! Even in the future nothing works!"
Hang on a sec I never noticed that Karina mentioned razias shadow oh my god
The only one missing is the midwest Americana diner/church!
Andalites? 😅
This is amazing. I had watched the first part, but I think due to recent events, you are gonna have to do another Karina Edition.
Oh, idk if it's on Spotify yet, but _125%_ is the intro for the first SSS vod of the _Silent Hill 2_ remake. :P
I'll see what I can do (^^) 📝
omg pretty girls make graves shout out! 1:14:45 i don’t remember that!
Feel like it was rude to end this on a failure
While Julia does consider this a failure, I do think she popped off- seeing her work really hard on something so complex even if she didn’t like the end result is inspiring to me the same way her Blender and Luigi are.
I don't consider it a failure honestly. She still created something even if it didn't turn out exactly right.
Honestly, just the *process* she went through was the pop off. The end product isn't as relevant imo
