    Jonathan Ross would not have been irritated by PKs behaviour because he knew this made his show ten times more entertaining.

    Private, hilarious and chaotic describes Peter Kay and very quick to improvise. There is a very good Jonathan Ross show with Peter Kay when he brings guests with him

  • @Obi-J
    @Obi-J Год назад +22

    Why would Ross be mad at Kay trying to put him off, the whole point of having him on the show is to cause chaos and they both know it. They're both treating it as a game, he's there to mess about and take over the show whilst Ross attempts to remain in control and not to let him, that's what makes it amusing to watch.
    There is also a long tradition of inviting potentially disruptive guests to appear on tv celebrity talk shows in the UK. If I said "Rod Hull and Emu" to you guys, you would almost certainly have absolutely no clue what on earth I was talking about... but most people around my age or above in the UK would know precisely what I meant.

      I should add that I don't much like Jonathan Ross, even before the incident with him and Russell Brand behaving in a disgustingly puerile manner and being enormously disrespectful to Andrew Sachs(aka Manuel from Fawlty Towers), telephoning Sachs' on Ross's radio show and Brand leaving messages on his answerphone boasting about having had sex with Sachs' granddaughter.

    allowing close friends apparent disrespect and rudeness and giving it back is how so many british men express their platonic love for another man. these are two kings of their industries. no one would ever dream of speaking like this to Jonathon or Peter this way but this is how Jonathon is with Ricky Gervais, Russell Brand etc. loved the review x

    Peter made that show, the dull question and answer schedule is BORING. Get a dynamo like Peter or Robin Williams and you show us watchable...
    Ever wondered why Graham Norton always has a Brit on with American guests... Because they're so dull and boring you have to initiate some fun and laughter. The guy they put on the end is the wildcard to save the show if they just talk about boring stuff... Get them drinking, get them talking amongst themselves and let it manifest into an open discussion without a script...

    Nick and Jodi, Jonathan Ross shouldn't be portrayed as "the poor talk show host who had an out of control guest who won't behave." JR has "form" in his own right. A few years ago Ross had his own programme on BBC radio, and on one show he had on as a guest Russell Brand. Ross and Brand decided to make a prank phone call to a comic actor called Andrew Sachs (Sachs was mainly known for playing the role of Manuel, a Spanish waiter in the sitcom Fawlty Towers) who was then well into his seventies. They were initially confronted by an answerphone, and so Brand decided to leave a bragging message saying that he'd had sex with Sachs' granddaughter and what had supposedly gone on etc - they thought it was a huge joke. When Sachs picked up the message he was needless to say, understandably outraged and upset in equal measure at what Ross and Brand had done. So too was the BBC and a large swathe of the British public. The BBC suspended Ross from his radio show for several months before being allowed back, but many felt he should have been sacked completely.

    You need to checkout this masterpiece from Peter Kay. Its a take off off all the various talent shows like x factor, and it even has some of the actual judges from early British shows like Pop Idol. It also has Cat Deely as presenter, who presents shows in the USA. The attention to detail is amazing, but its often overlooked for other dhows like Pheonix Nights. The show was a one off and was called Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice, please check it out ruclips.net/video/Bf1Hd9rX0M8/видео.htmlsi=EhpZYeFw0sXac2kl
