It's nearly 400 meters down and busted in half. It would almost be easier making a new one. And making battleships ain't easy. But imagine if they could recover Yamato and restore it to museum quality. Imagine that big monster on static display in the harbor. How amazing would it be? I toured the USS Alabama and it's astounding how massive and impressive it is. It's a South Dakota class battleship, maybe two tiers below Yamato. ngl I would love to take a tour of the Yamato. That has to be the manliest ship ever built.
@@protorhinocerator142 yea but the entirety of the Chinese navy would see it miles away sailing and it would frightened the Chinese navy because of its side
when "YAMATO.. HAJJJIMMM" turned to "yamateuuuwwww , tack off ..please...and some milk on my tea sir yes " ...F... ENG VERSION IN JAPANESES MOVIE !! :(
I mean it's a cools scene... but many people - especially Japanese - somehow get a stiff one when seeing this ship. No idea why. It failed miserably in WW2.
Can we all just appreciate how faithful this was to the original source material?
Star Blazers come to life, quite realistically.
While I enjoyed the movie, it was frustrating as well. But it's hard to create a 26 episode season into a two hour movie
For the Earth related stuff? Yes.
For the Gamilas and Iscandar stuff? Absolutely not.
i remember watching this movie for the first time it got me obsessed with space battleship yamato
0:40 BEHOLD, THE YAMATO
When you're done screwing around with lesser war ships.
Yamato is the answer.
Holy fk im crying. My childhood right here.
You too? I don't know what it is, but I tear up every time I watch this scene. It's just that badass. Still not a fan of the dub.
I spent ages looking for an English dub of this movie, but in the end had to settle for a DVD with sub-titles! Maybe I should look again!
in japanese it sounds much better!
*¡enjoyed at 7:20 am Pacific Standard Time on Monday, 30 January 2023!*
OMG my child hood relived
The yamato needs to be raised it's a legendary ship and the Musashi we need those battleships
You really wanna see them as they are now? They’ve spent the last 80 years underwater! They’re not exactly in a state to BE raised anymore!
@@Shadowkey392 they can be rebuilt just scan the structure and get to work it's easy duh

@@mikey_6785 Could you please rephrase this? I didn't copy.
They didn’t use the wave motion gun till Jupiter on the floating continent the used the shock cannons to handle the planet missile
not in the live action movie
I just built the Yamato in Starfield - the biggest ship in my fleet
If you say you didn't get chills you're a liar.
I did not. The young child I suddenly reverted to, on the other hand...
I still tear up hearing the theme, as it rises out of dead sea floor.
The Yamato has return😊
That's right, the Yo-mamaTOE
The Dub Okita is so much better than the original actor. The Japanese version sounds like he's trying to wake himself up from a nap.
from what i read the main actor had a clause that no one was to dub over his voice or has that changed?
still better than Star Trek discovery
when "YAMATO.. HAJJJIMMM" turned to "yamateuuuwwww , tack off ..please...and some milk on my tea sir yes " ...F... ENG VERSION IN JAPANESES MOVIE !! :(
Rise.....
i should join a low tier server in project stardust as yamato just to overkill low tier ships
what the fuck, why does it look like a sliding jpg when the captain says yamato the first time?
Space Battleship Tomato✨️ 🍅 ✨️

Battleships will always be badass
Especially the big ones
Because its a cool battleship?
The same way americans get a hard on for the Iowa class and for singlehandedly fighting of aliens in 99.9% of the movies.
I hate english voiceline
Ironic
THe english is so..... not epic
This is the worst movie of SBY
In this movie, the yamato never got to use its front and aft torpedo, also the missile 😢
