- India's largest fertilizer co-operative IFFCO has begun the mass production of nano urea invented by a 33-year-old Indian scientist Ramesh Raliya. In this episode of Field Notes, Raliya tells TR Vivek how the nano urea could save India billions of dollars and protect its ecology, and why he offered Indian farmers his lucrative invention for free.

Your technology is unique, but the most unique is your desire for the welfare of the farmer community in your country. Not all brilliant minded people have a golden heart like yours. actually we are also doing something to make urea a little bit more efficient, making trial using formaldehyde urea and other ingredients, the result is good, but the expense is bad. we are failed.

Sir, Will this nanourea particles pass through human skin/ lungs and cause health issue ?
This is very useful work. Micro emulsified nano urea might need some inhibitors to stop or reduce its decomposition to unwanted by products of urea making the whole exercise futile. The chances of that increase several hundred fold due to very high surface area of it. Inventor has to protect its IPR.
current level of knowledge on the ecotoxicological effects of nanourea is scarce, especially in regard to the fate and behavior of such formulations in the environment

Sir, Could this nano urea be adulterated with milk ? If so any method to stop this adulteration.
Can this neutrints be injected to the plant? Especially fruit trees.
I have certain doubts : nano urea used if it’s micro emulsified and sprayed, would need some inhibitors to stop its decomposition very fast due to very basic reasons of its being in nano form on foliage . What type of chemistry you might be using to keep its unwanted loss ?
No, that fast decomposition is taken care of due to Phloem and concentration of solute in the plant. It works on the basis of pressure difference. The diffusion will take care of it.

Nano urea is less effective than normal urea. I tried it twice but did not find it better than normal urea

I must say I really wanted to listen to this video. But it is presented in the worst possible way that it's so difficult to fix my focus. You keep swinging your head while talking and that too at such a close up range. Besides, the modulation and articulation of voice appears to be so casual and reckless.
