It might not be the liveliest or most happening place in the Canary Islands but I think Puerto de Mogan is definitely the most beautiful "resort"' of all of the islands.
So pretty. I remember a few years ago an Irish man who owned a restaurant there showed his lovely house just on the harbour, definitely living the nice life.
when the market is on all around the harbour is nearly impossible to walk....lots of stalls. I do miss it for a visit but been going to tenerife last few years again, now thinking about back to puerto rico and then visiting Mogan, a beautiful place.
Just love Mogan. Sometimes we do a week there and a week in Puerto Rico. The walk up the steep steps to the Mirador (viewing area is amazing) Billy at Marine Bar has beautiful apartments. There is a really good Indian restaurant opposite the little church. Enough to do to make a very enjoyable holiday without being too crazy. Lovely little beach.
We went and stayed in the harbor for 2 weeks this year on the back of a recommendation from a Rick & Shelley video . Come November is the Jazz month I'm sure, also you need to understand everything shuts at 12 and there are no bars in the harbor all Restaurants. But you can sit in and drink away. The apartments in the harbor are very good, with air con and British kind of channels, as you can imagine its not a lively place it is very peaceful.To be honest I was not a fan of GC to many hills but that's me. So it was a nice surprise how taken I was of this particular wee Town. I love my Las Americas will always be my front runner and if I had to chose still has to be Tenerife, but for a completely different vibe, try. ( There is a bar not far top of Playa called the Outlaws run by a English chap, plays some live music . ) Cheers Kevin.
There used to be a really scary cliff road on the approach to Mogan, not used any more due to lots of rock falls. i managed to get my claustrophobic wife onto a submarine trip there, she loved it once we were submerged.
nice one Kevin. You kept your word and vlog the Harbour Marina area of Puerto Mogan. Great memories for me staying right there in those nice apartments. Can thoroughly recommend ppl staying there. Had a terrific home made Irish Stew in Billys irish bar restaurant and the restaurant next to it the best freshly caught John Dory and salad meal too. A great vlog my friend well captured as always.
All round the marina property is mainly to let ! Tried tenerife this year was disappointed compared to Gran Canaria love Puerto Rico go and try Fran's at the harbour pricey but good food !!
Now this is more my kind of place, its stunning and I could happily stay there. Do many people holiday there or are they mainly day trippers from other resorts do you know?
Puerto de Mogan is nice , but it’s not authentic. It’s all build in the eighties. We prefer Meloneras as resort to stay, Lopesan did a great job there.

Nicest melonares but quiet.
But you can get in a livelier area quick from Meloneras. Taxi is cheap.
