- We escape the cold and the rain and escape to the warmth of Gran Canaria and a stay at the Hotel Cordial Mogan Playa in the pretty town of Puerto de Mogan.
We stayed in Puerto Mogan for 7 days in December in a standard Cordial Mogan Playa room. The stay was with breakfast, we tried lunch at the pool bar but did not try dinner at the hotel.
There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel and it’s only a short walk (about 10 mins) to the beach of Puerto de Mogán.
The hotel grounds have plenty of space and the pool areas have lots of seating. The bars were good and the hotel prices reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Cordial Mogan Playa.
We paid for the stay and all costs ourselves and were not sponsored in any way.

Your video made me smile so I'm a new sub! I've been searching for a holiday for months as I'm desperate to take my son away, who will be 9 at time of travel. I've always travelled authentically and I have never done an 'all-inclusive' in my life, however I started looking at those because I want to feel safe and I want my son to meet some kids and have a great time too - but - there's something about all-inclusive deals that seem really soulless to me! I got myself down some real rabbit holes and got nowhere! This is the second video I've seen of this hotel and I'm sold! It ticks every box! The area looks great - you can walk to the harbour and the beach, take a boat trip, try some little restaurants down there and, there's even archaeology in the garden (LOL)! Wow, what a breakfast! I'm always up for bubbly to start the day with and I did notice in another video, they even have bloody mary's!! I think there's something for mum and son here and this hotel looks like it has something different. Thank you for the video! I'll check out your others now, although, I don't want to be tempted by anywhere else because I'll just get confused again 😂
Oh and btw, I thought I recognised you at first glance, then I heard the Welsh accents and then you mentioned South Wales! I'm from Pembrokeshire! I wonder now if I've ever met you in passing! It is after all, a small world!

Following your excellent video we decided to book a week’s holiday at Hotel Cordial .We weren’t disappointed .Its a lovely hotel with a totally relaxing feel about it.Excellent service from friendly staff.The town itself is very pretty and well worth a visit.Thank you for pointing us in the direction of this hotel.I did mention to one of the managers that your video was the prompt to go to the hotel so hopefully you‘ ll get a cheque in the post.😂

My favourite hotel
Very nice guide. We are going in September for seventh time but first post lockdown so it is going to be very emotional. The hotel punches so much above its weight and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Thank you for this as we have been here in 2015 my boys were just one and 5 now they are 9 and 11 if we go next year. We sadly lost my dad this year but want to come back to this hotel fond memories here with dad so bringing old bones mum with us 😂. The trip advisor reviews were awful really slating the food but that looked delish
We had a great time and the weather was perfect. The food we had was good although we were eating in the town most nights. We would definitely recommend the place.

We had good weather. Shorts and in the pool in the day, eating out on the patios in the evenings (although with long sleeves). Like a good summer's day in the UK.
Looks lovely, been in the Cordial and Radisson and honestly i prefer the Radisson, better star rating and quite often you’ll find it cheaper in price!
We were looking at the Radisson but went for the Cordial this time because it looked a bit different. There's always next time.

Just wondered what camera you used to give such good results. In the bathroom mirror shots it looks as though you are using a mobile.
Thanks, have a good time. We wished we had stayed longer. Yes, for these sort of videos I use my two year old iPhone11. It's much easier and more discreet that a big camera and the quality is pretty good too.

Are there other a la carte options other than buffet for dinner, and is it included on half board? Thanks!
When we stayed the buffet was the only option for dinner for people on half board (we weren't on it ourselves). The other restaurant Los Guayres Restaurant is fine dining and not included in half board.

Not sure what is was called but it we didn't pay for any upgrade, it was pretty much the standard double.
Although we did book direct with the hotel and signed up for their loyalty program. Maybe that gave us the wine and fruit.

Just a shame a boutique hotel doesn't have a large king or queen double bed instead of two singles pushed together
Not that uncommon in many European hotels
@@flydriveexplore I'm not being funny by the way. We appreciate the video, we're booking up at one of the sister hotels, it's just me and my partner are really cuddly and sleep cuddled up, and when it's two singles it's bloody annoying ha ha. Yeah it's common across Europe
